Overview

AI Manga Studio is a manga creation app. With this plugin, ChatGPT works with the manga works saved in your AI Manga Studio account: it can list your works, create a new work, write or revise the storyboard (pages, panels, scene descriptions, and dialogue), change a single line of dialogue, and undo its own last change. ChatGPT can also draw a page itself in Work mode. It reads the page's materials from AI Manga Studio (a drawing brief and reference images such as the panel-layout template and character sheets), generates the page image with ChatGPT's own image generation, and sends it back. AI Manga Studio cuts the image along the panel borders and places the pieces into the panels of that page. In Work mode, you can also attach a page image to your message and ask ChatGPT to place it into the panels. How it works: - You need an AI Manga Studio account (https://ai-manga-s.com/studio/). When you connect the plugin, sign in on the AI Manga Studio sign-in page that ChatGPT opens. - If you sign in with the same email address as your AI Manga Studio account (a verified address, or Google sign-in), the plugin links to your account automatically. If the addresses differ, ask ChatGPT to link your account: it gives you a one-time link (valid for 5 minutes); open it in a browser where you are signed in to AI Manga Studio and press "Link". - After that, AI Manga Studio does not need to be open. The plugin reads and saves works in your account on our server, so it also works from ChatGPT on mobile. Intended users: manga and comic creators, hobbyists, educators, and marketers who want to plan and assemble manga pages through conversation. Limitations: - The plugin cannot delete works and cannot read or write files on your computer. - It does not use AI Manga Studio's own image generation or your account's generation allowance. Drawing a page uses ChatGPT's image generation. Drawing a page and placing an attached page image into the panels are available in Work mode. In Chat mode, placing an attached page image does not work, and ChatGPT may not be able to draw a page. The storyboard can be written and edited without images. - Only works saved to your account are available. Works kept only on one device with "Local only" are not shown. - Undo reverts only changes made by the plugin. Changes made later in AI Manga Studio itself are not reverted. - The plugin acts only on the AI Manga Studio account you linked.

create_work

Creates a new manga work in the user's AI Manga Studio account and returns its workId and title. Use this only when the user asks to start a new work; to change an existing work, find it with list_works. title is required; synopsis and characters (each with a name and an optional description) are optional. The new work has a cover page only; add pages and panels with set_storyboard. It does not generate images and does not use the account's generation allowance.

get_page_materials

Returns everything needed to draw one manga page of a work: a drawing brief (text) and reference images (the panel-layout template and character reference sheets). Follow the instructions at the top of the brief: use the brief as the image prompt without changing it and use every attached image as a reference, then draw one full page image (only the wishes the user stated in the conversation may be added; say what was changed). Pass the drawn image to receive_page. Changes nothing. It does not generate images and does not use the account's generation allowance.

get_work

Returns the content of one work: title, synopsis, characters, and every page with its panels (scene description, dialogue lines, characters, location, whether the panel has an image, and the panel frame). Page numbers are the ones shown in AI Manga Studio: the cover is page 0 and story pages start at 1. Changes nothing.

link_account

Returns a one-time link (valid for 5 minutes) that links this ChatGPT connection to the user's AI Manga Studio account. Usually this is not needed: the connection is linked automatically when the verified email address used to sign in matches the AI Manga Studio account. Use it only when the email addresses differ. Ask the user to open the link in a browser where they are signed in to AI Manga Studio and press "Link". This is needed only once. If the connection is already linked, no link is created unless relink is true. Call this when another tool reports UNLINKED.

list_layouts

Lists the built-in panel layouts (layout ID, number of panels, short description) that can be used as layout in set_storyboard. Changes nothing.

list_works

Lists the manga works saved in the user's AI Manga Studio account (workId, title, page count, last update), newest first, up to 50. Use the workId with the other tools. Only works saved to the account are listed (works kept only in a local browser are not). Changes nothing.

receive_page

ChatGPT

Takes one drawn page image (made from the get_page_materials brief), cuts it along the panel borders of the page layout, and places the pieces into the panels of that page, replacing their current images (can be reverted with undo). If the borders in the image do not match the layout, nothing is changed and the reply explains how to redraw. It does not generate images and does not use the account's generation allowance.

set_storyboard

Writes pages and panels into a work. mode: 'replace' replaces every page of the work (a cover page is added automatically, so the given pages become pages 1, 2, ...); mode: 'append' adds the given pages after the existing ones. Each panel needs scene_description; dialogues, characters, location and camera are optional. Returns the number of story pages (the cover is not counted). Can be reverted with undo. It does not generate images and does not use the account's generation allowance.

undo

Reverts the last change that this plugin made to the work (set_storyboard, update_dialogue or receive_page). Changes made later in AI Manga Studio itself are never reverted; in that case nothing is undone and the reply says so. Returns whether a further undo is possible.

update_dialogue

Changes one dialogue line of one panel and leaves every other line unchanged. page and panel are the numbers returned by get_work; index is the position in the panel's dialogues (starting at 0). Only the given fields (speaker, text) are overwritten. An index equal to the current number of lines adds a new line. Returns the panel's dialogues after the change. Can be reverted with undo. It does not generate images and does not use the account's generation allowance.
