Overview

Anisongs is a curated database of anime songs (anison) — openings, endings, insert songs and character songs — with precise links between each work, song, artist and production credit (lyricist, composer, arranger). Ask ChatGPT in plain language ("make me a playlist of 2000s mecha openings", "every opening and ending of SPY x FAMILY", "songs composed by Yoko Kanno") and Anisongs resolves the request into accurately identified tracks from its hand-curated database, so you get real anime songs rather than mislabeled or invented results. Main workflows: - Search songs by keyword, category (OP/ED/insert), year range or credit, or pull every registered song of one anime work. - Look up an artist, lyricist, composer or arranger and the anime songs they are credited on. - Check whether a list of tracks are genuine anime songs (purity check). - Save the chosen tracks as an Anisongs playlist and receive a shareable receipt link; from that page the playlist can be exported to YouTube Music, Apple Music or Spotify, or opened in the Anisongs mobile app. Connecting is instant and anonymous: the user clicks Accept on the OAuth 2.1 consent screen and an anonymous account is created. No sign-up, e-mail address, password or personal data is required. Documentation: https://anisongs.jp/docs/mcp

Tools

check_purity

ChatGPT
Check whether tracks are anime songs. Returns per-track status (anisong/pending/not_anisong) and an overall purity.

create_playlist

ChatGPT
Save the chosen tracks as an Anisongs playlist and get a receipt link. Pass MULTIPLE music_id values gathered via search_tracks (typically 10–20 works well). HARD LIMIT: a playlist can contain at most 100 tracks — requests over 100 are rejected with TRACKS_LIMIT_EXCEEDED, never truncated. If the user wants more than 100 tracks, split the set into multiple playlists (e.g. by series or era) and call create_playlist once per part. Do not create a playlist from a single track unless the user explicitly asked for one. ALWAYS call this once the set is agreed, then show the returned display_ja (or display_en) text verbatim as your final message.

fetch

ChatGPT
Fetch the full document for an id returned by search (e.g. "track:1234"). Returns {id,title, text, url, metadata}. metadata.music_id can be passed to create_playlist.

get_artist

ChatGPT
Get one artist and their anime songs, including songs they composed/wrote/arranged for other vocalists (returned in credited_songs). Set type to look up by a specific credit role instead.

get_program

ChatGPT
Get one anime work (program) and all its registered songs.

search_tracks

ChatGPT
Search the Anisongs database for accurately resolved anime songs (OP/ED/insert). Filter by free-text query, category, year range, and song credits (composer/lyricist/arranger). Use the "credit" parameter to find all songs a creator was involved in regardless of role. Results include credit info when available. NOTE: keyword search can miss tracks whose title/artist do not mention the work (e.g. in-show covers) — to reliably get ALL songs of one anime, use get_program instead.
