Overview

Postbeam connects ChatGPT to your LinkedIn content workflow so you can draft, review, schedule, and analyze posts without leaving the chat. Once connected with your Postbeam account, ChatGPT works directly with your real posts, your writing guidance, and your performance data. Turning a chat box into the place you actually run your LinkedIn presence & strategy. Draft in your voice, from your real work: Ask ChatGPT to write a post and it pulls in your Postbeam content training, your mission, audience, format rules, and content sources so every draft sounds like you, not generic. Because it's working inside ChatGPT, it can also draw raw material from the other tools you've connected (Slack threads, Gmail, meeting recorders like Fellow or Granola) and turn a real customer calls, shipped features, or team wins into finished posts. Drafts are saved straight into Postbeam for review. Edit, organize, and manage your queue: Review your most recent drafts, pull up any single post, and edit its copy or title — all by chatting. You can attach media: images, video, or carousel posts. List posts by status (draft, approved, scheduled) to see exactly where everything stands. Approve and schedule when you're ready: When a draft is ready, ChatGPT can approve it and schedule it to publish to your connected LinkedIn at a specific time. Nothing publishes automatically drafts stay drafts until a person decides otherwise, and approving or scheduling respects the permissions on your account. Understand what's working: Ask what's performing and get answers from your cached analytics: account-level totals (impressions, reactions, comments, reshares, followers gained, members reached) with a daily trend, plus per-post breakdowns over 30-, 90-, or 365-day windows. Use it to spot your best formats and hooks, then immediately draft your next post in that proven style. Built for teams and agencies: Postbeam supports multiple accounts in one place. ChatGPT can list every account you can access, so agencies and teams can switch between clients or teammates and keep each person's drafts, approvals, and analytics cleanly separated.

Tools

approve_post

ChatGPT
Approve a DRAFT post so it's ready to schedule or publish. Sets the post's status to 'approved' in Postbeam; it does NOT publish or schedule anything on its own. Requires the 'can_approve_posts' permission on the account.

create_draft

ChatGPT
Create a new DRAFT post in a Postbeam account. It appears as a draft in the Postbeam UI for a human to review, edit, and publish. This never publishes or schedules anything.

get_analytics

ChatGPT
Read cached account-level LinkedIn analytics for a time window: totals (impressions, reactions, comments, reshares, followers gained) plus members reached and a daily time-series. Read-only — returns the values last synced by Postbeam (see last_synced_at), not a live LinkedIn fetch. Requires the can_manage_analytics permission.

get_post

ChatGPT
Fetch a single post by id (scoped to an account you can access).

get_post_analytics

ChatGPT
Read cached per-post LinkedIn performance for posts published within a time window: content, published date, impressions, reactions, comments and reposts. Read-only — returns the values last synced by Postbeam (see analytics_updated_at), not a live LinkedIn fetch. Posts with analytics_pending=true have not been measured yet. Requires the can_manage_analytics permission.

get_training

ChatGPT
Fetch an account's writing-style training (mission, audience, format rules, content sources) as markdown. Use these as the hard rules when drafting posts for that account.

list_accounts

ChatGPT
List every Postbeam account the authenticated user can access, with its opaque account_ref, human-readable name, role, and permission flags. Call this first to discover which account_ref to target.

list_posted_posts

ChatGPT
List already-published (posted) posts for an account — read-only. Returns each post's FULL content, posted_at, and media; a post published to multiple destinations appears once per destination. Posted posts are immutable: to change a draft, use list_posts + update_draft.

list_posts

ChatGPT
List editable posts for an account. Defaults to drafts. Can also filter by approved, rejected, or scheduled. Returns post ids and content so they can be reviewed or edited. For already-published posts use list_posted_posts (read-only).

schedule_post

ChatGPT
Schedule a post to publish to the account's connected LinkedIn at a specific time. Pass scheduled_for as an ISO-8601 timestamp that INCLUDES the user's timezone offset (e.g. 2026-06-10T09:00:00-04:00). The account must have a connected LinkedIn account, and the time must be in the future. Requires the 'can_manage_schedule' permission.

update_draft

ChatGPT
Edit the content and/or title of an existing DRAFT post. Only posts in 'draft' status can be edited; approved/published posts are immutable here.

whoami

ChatGPT
Return the authenticated Postbeam user's basic profile and how many accounts they can access.
