cancel_export
ChatGPTStop an unfinished export and delete its incomplete files. Does not delete completed exports or edit the project.
create_project
ChatGPTCreate a new Aqueduct project containing the default empty document and return its UUID and content.
edit_graph
ChatGPTReplace old_string (which must match the graph document exactly once) with new_string. The result is validated before writing: errors reject the edit, warnings pass through. A failed match returns the current document.
export_image
ChatGPTExport one texture as a PNG, JPG or TGA file. Returns job_id; call export_status to check progress and get the file. Does not edit the project. Use look to inspect an image directly in the conversation.
export_package
ChatGPTExport textures and a file manifest as a package: a downloadable ZIP in hosted mode or a local folder. Supports still images, animation frames, and sprite sheets. Returns job_id; call export_status to check progress and get the result. Stills default to time zero; animations default to separate frame images. Does not edit the project.
export_status
ChatGPTCheck an export job. When complete, returns a download URL in hosted mode or a local file/folder path. Hosted downloads expire 24 hours after completion.
generate_uuids
ChatGPTGenerate fresh random UUIDv4 strings. Returns new UUIDs on each call without modifying any project.
layout
ChatGPTRender the node-graph diagram with live node thumbnails, connections, frames, and note cards marked by paragraph icons. Note text is omitted; read it from the graph document notes collection. Returns one inline image.
list_export_presets
ChatGPTList the project's available export naming presets, including the default and the filenames each preset would produce.
list_projects
ChatGPTList the user's Aqueduct projects: UUID (the project argument for other tools), display name, last-updated time.
look
ChatGPTRender selected graph outputs or intermediate nodes as RGBA8 PNGs for your own visual inspection. Use frequently while authoring to inspect your work and guide the next edit; inspect intermediate nodes to diagnose individual stages. Use export_image or export_package for deliverable files with the graph’s export encodings. Validation errors block rendering; warnings are reported. At most 6 images are inlined per call (extras are named, not returned), downscaled to a 1568 px long edge; use crop for native pixels.
look_material_preview
ChatGPTRender a lit material preview for your own visual inspection. Use frequently while authoring to judge the combined material and guide the next edit. Renders the graph's PBR outputs (whichever of base_color, normal, roughness, height, metallic, emissive, opacity, ao exist; missing maps use neutral defaults) on a displaced sphere under studio HDRI lighting. Returns one inline image.
manual
ChatGPTReturn the complete Aqueduct manual: working rules, graph format, node authoring, file-defined nodes, expressions, PBR guidance, and the installed node index. Call and read manual() before you use any other tools.
node_registry
ChatGPTReturn one or more installed built-in node registry entries as complete, normalized TOML. This is the authoritative metadata used by the engine and the closest built-in example for authoring a custom node. Pair it with node_source for shader code.
node_source
ChatGPTReturn one or more installed node kinds' Slang shader sources. File-defined node sources live in the graph document itself.
read_graph
ChatGPTReturn the project's graph document (TOML).
rename_project
ChatGPTRename a hosted Aqueduct project.
show_images
ChatGPTDisplay previously retained images in an interactive gallery. Obtain IDs from look, look_material_preview, or layout with retain_for_display=true. Returns partial results if some IDs are missing. Missing images may have expired, been evicted, or been lost on server restart: repeat their original generation calls with retain_for_display=true, then call show_images with the new IDs. Regeneration uses the current project and may differ from the original.
