Overview

Axle is where independent contractors, small companies and their workers run field work: tickets, jobs, hours, jobsites and safety records, in one place. This connector lets an Axle member use their own ChatGPT account to ask about their own work. Sign in with your everyday Axle login; ChatGPT sees exactly what you can see and nothing else. Ask what jobs you are on, which tickets are open, what you did this week, your hours for a period, your jobsites, and which safety tickets are expiring; ask for a situation report on your workforce, tickets or locations. No tool takes another person, company or workforce as input, so nobody can be asked about anyone else's work. Rates, costs and pay are never returned. A connection can be switched off at your company's request at any time.

Tools

get_job_detail

ChatGPT
Detail for one job, by its number (for example 00005837). Only returns jobs you are seated on.

get_my_certifications

ChatGPT
The worker's own safety tickets and certifications (orientations, H2S, first aid and the like) with expiry dates, plus their driver's licence class and expiry. Use when the worker asks what tickets they hold, what is expiring, or whether they are current for a site.

get_my_context

ChatGPT
Who the signed-in worker is at Axle: their name, their company, and the workforces they hold an active seat on. Call this first in a conversation, or whenever the worker asks who Axle thinks they are, which company they are connected as, or why they cannot see something.

get_my_equipment

ChatGPT
The power unit and trailer(s) assigned to the worker on each workforce they hold an active seat on, plus the unit and trailer on the transport ticket they are currently on (dispatched, confirmed or picked up). Use when the worker asks what truck they are in, which trailer they are pulling, what unit number they are assigned, or whether the unit on their ticket matches the one on their seat. Never includes rates, costs or amounts.

get_my_jobs

ChatGPT
The jobs you are seated on. Use when the worker asks what they are assigned to, what is open, or what they are working on.

get_my_jobsite_time

ChatGPT
How long this worker has been on a jobsite, from their own check-in and check-out history. Use when they ask how many hours they were on a site, when they last checked in, or whether they are still checked in somewhere. This is check-in time, not logged hours — time logs are separate records that attach to a job, and they are not in this answer.

get_my_jobsites

ChatGPT
The jobsites this worker can attend, whether they OWN each site or are only assigned to it, and whether they are currently checked in at one. Use when they ask where they are working, what sites they can attend, which sites are theirs to run, or whether they are still checked in somewhere.

get_my_safety_records

ChatGPT
Safety records you personally filed: hazards, incidents and inspections. Use when the worker asks what they reported or wants to check a submission went in.

get_overall_sitrep

ChatGPT
One combined situation report: the worker's workforce, their tickets across transport, service and rental, and their workforce's locations, in a single answer with the top line first, everything needing attention ranked, what could not be read, and the natural follow-up questions. Reads only what the worker is allowed to see; no rates or amounts. ANY PERIOD UP TO A QUARTER, ANY SCOPE. Use period_from and period_to for a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or custom window — set BOTH for a range that is not today. The longest window is 92 days (a quarter); a longer one is refused by name rather than quietly narrowed. A window over 31 days is read as consecutive 31-day windows, because one ticket-board or location report covers at most 31 days: each window's own figures come back under period_windows. Use workforce_ref='all' to cover every workforce the worker is on, which is the company-wide view for an owner or manager; name one workforce to narrow it. Use for 'give me a sitrep', 'what does my day look like', 'weekly sitrep', 'how did we do last month', 'how did the quarter go', 'sitrep for the company', 'sitrep since Monday', or a shift handover. Worked examples — this week: period_from = the most recent Monday, period_to = today. Last week: the Monday and Sunday before that. This month: the 1st to today. Last month: the 1st and last day of the previous month. This quarter: the 1st of the quarter to today. Last quarter: the first and last day of it. Company-wide monthly: those dates plus workforce_ref='all'.

get_ticket_detail

ChatGPT
Detail for one of the worker's own tickets, by ticket number — transport loads, and the service tickets they are assigned on. Handles a partial or misread number by returning the tickets that match so the worker can be asked which one — use this when reading a number off a paper ticket or a photo.

get_todays_work

ChatGPT
What the worker is on right now: their transport tickets that are dispatched, confirmed or picked up, plus anything scheduled or due today. Use for 'what am I on today', 'show me my dispatch', or 'what's next'. No rates or amounts are ever included.

list_my_conversations

ChatGPT
The worker's direct, person-to-person conversations in Axle Messenger — who each one is with, their company, the last message and when it arrived, and whether anything is unread. Use when the worker asks who has messaged them, whether they have unread messages, or who they have been talking to. Takes no input: it can only ever return the worker's own conversations. Group, workforce, job and company feeds are not included.

list_my_tickets

ChatGPT
The transport tickets assigned to you as driver. Use when the worker asks what loads, hauls or runs they have. Newest first, by the date of the work. Everything Axle returns unless you narrow it with within_days or period_from/period_to; Axle itself reaches back about a year and leaves out received and completed loads.

my_tasks

ChatGPT
Lists the worker's tasks — the ones assigned to them (including tasks someone else assigned them, which Axle attaches as related contacts), and separately the ones they assigned out to other people. Shows what is open by default, or everything. Read-only.

read_conversation

ChatGPT
Reads one of the worker's own direct conversations — the messages in it, who sent each one and when. Name the person ('what did Mike say?') or pass a conversation_id from My Direct Messages. Only conversations the worker is actually part of can be read; a group, workforce or job feed cannot be read here.
