Overview
Black Ice is a semantic governance layer for multilingual AI pipelines. It holds your organization's concepts, approved terminology and market-specific rules in a multilingual knowledge graph, so every model and agent working in any language draws on the same governed source instead of guessing. With this connector, Claude can: - Look up the approved term for a concept in a given locale, with its status and allowed and forbidden variants - Scan a draft translation for terminology and governance violations before it ships - Retrieve a market profile: brand identity plus structured guidance on tone and locale conventions - Check whether a concept, product or feature is available in a given market - Browse your ontology: concepts, classes and the semantic relationships between them - Propose new terminology candidates, which go to a human review queue and never change approved terms directly Typical uses: writing localized marketing copy, emails and UI text that follows approved terminology; QA-ing translations produced by any LLM or vendor; answering "what do we call this in the German market?" without digging through spreadsheets; keeping brand voice consistent across languages. Black Ice doesn't translate for you and doesn't replace your TMS. It's the governance layer your translation tools and AI agents consult. Requires a Black Ice workspace (black-ice.ai). All data is scoped to your workspace.
