Card.ai helps users create, organize, and study flashcards. Users can manage decks and cards, add images, search their study material, and review personal study difficulty reports.

create_deck
ChatGPTCreate a new (empty) deck and return its id. Free accounts are limited to 3 decks.
delete_deck
ChatGPTMove one of the user's decks to the trash (soft delete, recoverable in the app).
delete_flashcards
ChatGPTPermanently delete flashcards from the user's decks. Ids that don't exist or belong to someone else are skipped and reported in failed_ids.
list_decks
ChatGPTList the user's decks with id, name and flashcard count.
list_document_images
ChatGPTList images extracted from documents the user uploaded to this deck's AI chat (PDFs, slides). Returns {id, url, page, width, height} — the url can go straight into add_flashcards question_image_url/answer_image_url.
rename_deck
ChatGPTRename one of the user's decks.
search_flashcards
ChatGPTSearch or list flashcards in a deck. Each result includes the user's study signals: avg_difficulty (0..1, null if never studied), reviews, last_studied, mastered. Empty query = paginated listing of the whole deck.
search_images
ChatGPTSearch the web (Google Images) for images to use on flashcards. Returns {url, thumbnail, title} candidates — pass the chosen
url to add_flashcards as question_image_url or answer_image_url (CardAi copies it to its storage).study_report
ChatGPTStudy/difficulty report. Without deck_id: account overview (streak, cards studied/created this week, mastery totals). With deck_id: per-card breakdown of that deck — hardest cards first — to help plan what to review.
update_flashcard
ChatGPTEdit one of the user's flashcards. Only the provided fields change; question and answer must be non-empty when provided. For images, pass a public URL to set/replace, or an empty string to remove the image from that side.
