Overview
Turn a recording into a transcript without leaving the chat. Give Claude a YouTube link, a direct link to a media file, or upload a file of up to 2 GB. Audio (MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC and more) and video (MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM) both work. You get the transcript as plain text, SRT or VTT subtitles, or text with timestamps and speaker labels. You can also ask for an AI summary, a list of action items, or a translation into 103 languages. Subtitles keep their timecodes after translation. One ZIP holds every result, and a share link gives you a web page to send to others. Three transcription models are available: Microsoft MAI-Transcribe, OpenAI Whisper and Google Gemini. Most files finish in under a minute. Some use each day is free. After that, Claude shows a short preview and a payment link for you. Pricing is pay as you go: €0.02 per minute, €0.50 minimum, no subscription. Files and transcripts are deleted 24 hours after the last activity, or right away on request, and are never used to train AI models. No account or API key is needed to start.

create_upload
ClaudeFor a file on your machine: returns an upload_url. PUT the file to it, then call start_transcription. If you cannot send HTTP requests, show the returned upload_page_url to your user instead: they upload the file in a browser and it starts by itself.
delete_job
ClaudeDelete the uploaded file, the transcript and all other results of a job right away, instead of 24 hours after the last activity. Cannot be undone.
estimate_cost
ClaudePrice for transcribing a recording of a given length, and how many free minutes are left today — for your IP, or for your user's account once your robot_key is linked.
get_job
ClaudeStatus of a job. When status is "completed", returns the transcript text in the chosen format plus download links. When status is "payment_required", returns a preview and a payment_url to show your user. Also returns summary, action_items and translations when requested.

list_jobs
ClaudeYour jobs that still exist (jobs are deleted 24 hours after the last activity), newest first, with their status.
pay_job
ClaudePay for the full transcript of a job whose get_job status is "payment_required", with a card your user shared through a Stripe Shared Payment Token (MPP). Call without payment: you get a payment challenge with the exact price in EUR. Your MPP client pays it and calls again. Without an MPP wallet, show payment_url from get_job to your user instead.
request_summary
ClaudeAsk for an AI summary or action items of a completed job. Returns at once; the result appears in get_job ("summary" / "action_items").
send_feedback
ClaudeTell the convert.express team about a bug, a missing feature, or a question — from you or your user. A human reads every message; there is no automatic reply. Include reply_email only if your user wants an answer.
start_transcription
ClaudeCall after the PUT to upload_url has finished. Checks the file arrived and queues it.
transcribe_url
ClaudeStart transcribing a media file from a public link (direct file link or YouTube). Returns job_id and robot_key; then poll get_job.
translate
ClaudeTranslate the transcript, subtitles (timecodes kept), summary or action items of a completed job into another language. Returns at once; the result appears in get_job under "translations".
