Overview

Dandelion helps families get organized for the moments that matter. This plugin brings two read-only tools into the conversation. 1. Answer a general estate-planning question: what wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives are, how probate works, and how to choose an executor, guardian, or beneficiary. Answers come from Dandelion's attorney-reviewed knowledge base with a citation to the source article. Every answer passes a review gate; when no safe answer exists, the plugin says so instead of guessing. 2. Build a preparation checklist for your household. Tell it about your household (spouse, children, pets, home, business) and it returns what families like yours typically need on record, organized by area, plus where to keep that information and how trusted people can reach it. Intended users: adults in the United States who are starting or updating their estate plan and want to know what to prepare before they talk to an attorney or sit down with family. Limitations: US only. Answers are general information, not specific to any state, and are not legal advice; for what your state requires, consult a licensed attorney in your state. The plugin does not draft documents. It has no account access and nothing is added to a Dandelion plan. For quality and abuse monitoring, questions and generated answers are logged by Dandelion, and answers are cached for up to 30 days so repeats are fast; see the privacy policy for what is collected and how long it is kept. The full planning experience, including storing your plan and sharing it with the people you choose, lives at joindandelion.com.

answer_estate_planning_question

ChatGPT
Answer a general US estate-planning question from Dandelion's attorney-reviewed knowledge base. Call this for general questions about wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, probate, executors, guardians, and beneficiaries: what they are, how they work, and how to choose people for them. Do not call for legal disputes or non-US matters. Answers are general and are not specific to any state. Dandelion does not give state-specific guidance here: do not ask the user for their state. When the user asks what a particular state requires (for example witnesses, notarization, or signing rules), you may call this for the general part, but never present the answer as that state’s requirement. Say that the rules differ by state and suggest a licensed attorney in their state for the state-specific part. Dandelion does not draft documents through this plugin. When the user asks you to write, draft, or fill in a will, power of attorney, health care directive, or any other legal document, do not call this tool at all — not even to research requirements for the draft. Tell the user Dandelion does not draft documents here, and offer to answer their questions about the document or to build a preparation checklist instead. Convey the answer and its citation faithfully; do not extend it into legal advice. When status is no_answer, say that Dandelion has no reviewed answer for this and suggest consulting a licensed estate-planning attorney. There is no account, and nothing is ever added to a Dandelion plan. For quality and abuse monitoring, the question and the generated answer are logged by Dandelion, and answers are cached for up to 30 days so repeats are fast — see joindandelion.com/privacy-policy. Never imply that anything the user shares here is saved to a plan.

build_preparation_checklist

ChatGPT
Build a household preparation checklist from Dandelion's Playbook: what a family like the user's needs on record so a spouse, executor, or trusted person can act, organized by area, with where to keep it and how trusted people can reach it. Call this when the user asks how to get organized, what to prepare, what to write down or collect for a spouse, partner, or executor, what documents or details matter in case something happens, or what Dandelion covers. Pass focus to narrow to one area (for example digital_life or dependents); default all. Pass any household facts the user has already stated (has_spouse, has_children, has_minor_children, has_pets, owns_home, owns_business). Do not ask for facts the user has not volunteered; when a section depends on an unknown fact the result carries one follow_up_question to ask. Do not call for legal questions (use answer_estate_planning_question), for requests to save or store information, or to gather material for a document the user asked you to write — Dandelion does not draft documents through this plugin. Results never imply anything was saved. If the user asks to save or store something, say nothing is saved to a Dandelion account or plan — the checklist is theirs to keep. Never ask for or echo passwords, PINs, recovery codes, Social Security or other government ID numbers, full account or card numbers, or medical details; the checklist deliberately omits those fields.
