dataseries.org collects Switzerland's economic statistics in one place: national accounts, consumer prices, the labour market, business surveys, interest and exchange rates, money and banking, trade, population and payment systems. The data comes from the Swiss National Bank, the Federal Statistical Office, SECO, the KOF Swiss Economic Institute and other public providers, and is updated daily from their releases. The connector gives Claude four read-only tools: - search: find datasets and single series by keywords in English, German, French or Italian, e.g. "cpi tobacco" or "snb balance sheet". - list_datasets: every dataset with its frequency, date range and publisher, grouped by topic. - get_dataset: description, units, publisher, license and the codes of every dimension. - get_series: the observations as CSV, for one series or several. Claude can then answer questions such as "How has Swiss inflation moved since 2020?" with the actual figures, the publisher and a link to the dataset page. No account or key is needed. The data stays under each provider's own license, which get_dataset reports.
dims. Large dimensions can be narrowed with filter.dims selects series: <dim>=<code>[,<code>] segments joined by ';', e.g. 'type=real;structure=gdp;seas_adj=cssa'. Without dims the dataset's default selection is used. A wrong code returns the valid ones.unmatched lists the words that matched nothing: check it before trusting the results.
