DPOLens

by Alkhatib Adam

Overview

DPOLens gives Claude the text of privacy law, clause by clause, so an answer quotes the clause it relies on instead of paraphrasing it from memory. Every clause has a stable key, such as gdpr:art-17:para-1, with the law's version and the date it came into force, so a citation can be checked and still reads the same after the law changes. This is the DPOLens community version: public law only, free, with no account and no token. Laws come as packs, each read from the law's official source. GDPR and the UAE Personal Data Protection Law are supported today, the UAE's in the Arabic that prevails beside its official English translation, and more are added over time. Ask in English or Arabic. Claude searches the law, reads the clauses it needs, and answers with their keys. DPOLens finds the law and quotes it. It does not give legal advice. DPOLens is open source under the Apache License 2.0. An organisation that wants its own policies searched beside the law runs its own instance: https://github.com/alkhatibdev/dpolens Questions sent to the community version are kept for 30 days, with email addresses, phone numbers, payment card numbers, IBANs and Emirates ID numbers taken out, and nothing about who asked: https://dpolens.com/privacy

Tools

get_clause

Claude
Read one clause by its key, with where it sits and what sits beneath it. Use it when a search result points at another clause, or when you need the whole of an article rather than the part that matched. The call is recorded, with the key that was read rather than a question.

get_document

Claude
Read one document and its top level structure, without the text. The outline is where to find a clause key when you know roughly where to look. Read the words with get_clause. The call is recorded.

list_documents

Claude
List the laws this community version can cite, and which version of each is in force.

search_policies

Claude
Search the privacy law this community version holds. Call this before writing or changing code that collects, stores, logs, shares or deletes personal data, and before answering a question about what the law requires. What comes back is the clause itself, word for word, with the key, document and version to cite it by. Questions asked here are kept 30 days, with nothing about who asked.
