Overview

eSIMradar compares prepaid travel eSIM data plans from 60+ providers across 210+ destinations, so a traveller can see what mobile data actually costs where they are going. Ask for a destination and it returns a ranked shortlist with the data allowance, validity, total price in USD and price per gigabyte, alongside the true size of the catalogue it drew from. Narrow by data need, trip length, budget, or features like 5G, hotspot sharing and top-up. Ask about one plan and it returns the detail that decides a purchase: fair-use throttling, whether the allowance is per day, the activation model, whether identity verification is required, which carriers it roams on, and which other countries it covers. Ask about a provider and it returns coverage, catalogue size, reader reviews and how much of that provider we have verified. Results are ranked over the whole catalogue for a destination rather than a promoted subset, and no provider is allowed to occupy the shortlist. Prices are rebuilt from provider catalogues continuously. eSIMradar earns affiliate commission when a reader buys through the site. That relationship decides which plans the website puts forward on one of its tabs; it never orders the results these tools return. Every plan links to its page on esimradar.com, where the reader compares and completes any purchase.

Tools

get_destination_overview

ChatGPT
Use this when someone asks what mobile data costs in a country or region, or how much choice there is, before comparing individual plans. Returns how many plans and providers serve the destination, the cheapest entry price, the median price per GB and whether unlimited plans exist there.

get_esim_plan

ChatGPT
Use this when someone has picked a specific plan from search_esim_plans and wants the detail behind it: fair-use throttling, whether the allowance is per day, activation model, identity checks, which carriers it roams on, and which other countries it covers. Requires the planId and the destination the plan was found under.

get_esim_provider

ChatGPT
Use this when someone asks whether a particular eSIM provider is trustworthy or how wide its coverage is. Returns how many destinations and plans the provider lists, its reader review count and average rating, and how much of the provider we have verified. Takes the providerSlug returned by search_esim_plans.

search_esim_plans

ChatGPT
Use this when someone is looking for a travel eSIM or mobile data plan for a specific destination, or wants to compare prices for one. Returns a ranked shortlist with the data allowance, validity, total price in USD and price per GB, plus a link to the full comparison.
