Overview
finstory is AI financial storytelling for CFOs and FP&A teams. It keeps your actuals, budgets and forecasts, loaded from NetSuite or Excel, in one governed model. This connector lets Claude work with that model on three jobs. Answer questions about the numbers. Ask how last month went against budget, which cost lines are over plan, or what drove a variance, and Claude queries your finstory model and explains the drivers. Figures are quoted as finstory returns them, never recalculated. Build and edit reports. Describe the report you need, such as a P&L by entity with actual, budget and variance, and Claude builds it on your own accounts and entities, previews it and saves it to your workspace. A new report stays hidden until it is published. Draft board stories. Claude builds a board story page by page from your existing reports, shows each report page in the conversation, writes the headline and commentary, and asks you when the data cannot explain a movement. You sign in with your finstory login, and every tool acts only in the workspace you approve, within your finstory role. Read tools look up your company structure, figures, reports and stories. Write tools create and edit reports and stories in your workspace. The connector does not move money, does not load or delete financial data, and never deletes a report or a story.
