Overview

Flippto Visa Calculator applies the Schengen 90/180-day rule to short stays in the 29 Schengen countries. What it does: - Counts the days used and left on a given date, based on the stays you describe (entry and exit days both count). - Shows the longest continuous stay possible from an entry date and the next day that frees up. - Checks whether a planned trip of a given length fits and, if not, finds the earliest date it would. - Flags stays that exceed 90 days in any 180-day period. - Shows the result as a card with a 180-day timeline and each stay with its country flag, plus a link that opens the same stays on flippto.com. Who it is for: travellers, remote workers and anyone planning several trips to Europe under the short-stay rule. Limitations: covers only the Schengen short-stay rule (90 days in any 180). It does not cover long-stay visas, residence permits, visa application requirements, bilateral agreements or countries outside the Schengen Area (e.g. the UK, Ireland, Cyprus). It works only with the dates given in the conversation and does not store them. Results are estimates, not legal advice; border authorities make the final decision.

Tools

check_schengen_days

ChatGPT
Checks the Schengen 90/180-day rule for a list of stays: how many days are used and left on a reference date (default: today), the longest stay possible when entering on that date, the next day that frees up, and whether any stay exceeds 90 days in a 180-day window. Use it when someone asks how long they can stay in Europe / the Schengen Area, how many days they have left, or whether past or planned trips are allowed. Only for short stays in the 29 Schengen countries; not for visa application requirements, long-stay visas or residence permits, or countries outside the Schengen Area (e.g. the UK, Ireland, Cyprus). Returns a text result without a card. Suited to intermediate calculations, e.g. comparing several date options; for a single question such as "how many days do I have left" show_schengen_result returns the same data together with a card.

plan_schengen_trip

ChatGPT
Plans a new trip under the Schengen 90/180-day rule: given earlier stays and a planned entry date, returns the longest possible stay and the latest exit date. With desired_days it also checks whether a trip of that length fits and, if not, finds the earliest entry date that allows it (searching two years ahead). Only stays that start before the entry date are taken into account. Only for short stays in the Schengen Area (not for long-stay visas or non-Schengen countries). Returns a text result without a card.

show_schengen_result

ChatGPT
Shows the final Schengen 90/180 result to the user as an interactive card: days left on the reference date, a 180-day timeline by month, every stay with its country flag, and a button that opens the same stays in the Visa Calculator on flippto.com. Returns the same data as check_schengen_days (days used and left, window, longest stay, overstay), so a simple question can be answered with this tool alone. Intended as the final step of an answer and called once: it takes the final set of stays (past and planned) and renders one card; intermediate calculations are done with check_schengen_days / plan_schengen_trip, which return text only.

track_card_click

ChatGPT
Internal: used by the result card to count clicks on its button. Not for use by the assistant.
