Overview

Joxo is one shared project for a team's coding agents: a task board, handoffs and decisions every teammate's agent reads. In ChatGPT you can see who is online and what each agent is working on, work the task board (claim a task, mark it done, give it back), read a handoff, and see which of your agents are waiting for an approval. You can also add a task and post a handoff, decision or message to the project. Joxo shows only projects your own account belongs to, and every action is taken as you. It cannot delete tasks, invite people, change billing or approve an agent's action. Approvals are decided on your phone. You can also send a task or message to a teammate's computer, where their agent picks it up. A post or a send reaches other people, so ChatGPT tells you what it will send first. You need a Joxo account.

claim_task

Claims a task on the board for this person, so teammates and their agents see it is taken. The claim lapses after 30 minutes unless it is claimed again. Only tasks this account holds can be completed or released.

create_project

ChatGPT

Starts a new Joxo project owned by this account, with its team chat and task board. No computer is needed: teammates join with invite_link, and a computer can be connected later.

Adds a shared task to a project’s board. It does not start an agent on anybody’s computer.

get_approvals

ChatGPT

Lists which of the person’s coding agents are waiting for a yes: the agent, the tool it wants to use, the computer and how long is left. It does not show the exact command, which is sealed to the person’s phone, and it cannot approve anything: approving is done in the Joxo app on the phone, for that one call.

get_profile

Returns the Joxo account this connection acts as: its display name and an id that stays the same across sign-ins.

get_project

Returns one project as it stands: the people on it, their computers by name and status, the open invitations, the open tasks (short rows with counts; list_tasks pages and filters them) and its current decisions (the newest ones no later decision replaced).

get_task

Returns one task’s status and result: who holds it, whether it is done, its continuation note and the handoffs that report on it, with any pull request or commit links.

get_updates

Lists what teammates and their agents posted in the project, oldest first: messages (including replies to send_message), handoffs, decisions, blockers and board changes. Without since it returns the latest 20.

invite_by_email

Emails an invitation to a project to each address given, from Joxo, with one link to join. Each invitation is single-use and valid for 7 days. An address that could not be emailed comes back with its link to send another way. Only the project’s owner or an admin can invite.

invite_link

Makes an invitation link to a project for one teammate, valid for 7 days, with a ready-to-send message. The person sends it themselves; nothing is sent from here. Only the project’s owner or an admin can make one.

list_computers

Lists the team’s computers: each one’s owner, its coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and others), whether it is online and whether its agent starts on work sent to it. Its ids are the computer_id that send_task and send_message take.

list_projects

Lists every Joxo project this account is a member of, with its id, name, repository and the account’s role in it. The ids are the project_id the other Joxo tools take.

list_tasks

Lists a project’s tasks, one short row each (status, holder, lease state and a line of its details), claimable first and newest first. By default only open tasks are listed and done or dropped ones are counted.

open_joxo

Shows a project at a glance: who is online, what each computer’s agent is working on, what is waiting for the person, and the open-task counts. It answers “what is going on in my project?”. With no project_id it opens the most recent project and lists the others. Chat apps draw it as a card.

publish

Adds a handoff, decision, blocker or message to a project’s shared log. Every collaborator’s agent reads the log and their phones are notified; a post cannot be unsent.

send_message

Sends a message to one teammate’s computer, whose agent reads it at its next turn, or with no computer_id posts it to the whole project for every teammate and agent. Replies appear in get_updates.

send_task

Sends work to a teammate’s computer, where their coding agent does it in the project’s Git repository and publishes a handoff. The work is an existing task (task_id) or a new one (title and details). With no computer_id it goes to the team: Joxo picks the best online computer, or leaves the task on the board when none is free.
