Overview

KashLog is a personal finance and expense-tracking plugin for ChatGPT. Review expenses and income, see where your money goes, create multi-currency spending summaries, and log new transactions. Requires the KashLog iOS app. Install and open KashLog on iPhone with iCloud sync enabled before connecting so the app can create its private iCloud database.

Use when the user asks to log a new KashLog expense or income. Creates one transaction in the user's private iCloud database and is not safe to retry automatically because a retry can create a duplicate. Category must be an existing KashLog category name or id.

get_categories

Use to discover available KashLog category names and their transaction types before adding an expense or income. Returns categories in the app's configured order.

get_spending_summary

ChatGPT

Totals of KashLog expenses and income for a date range, grouped by original currency and by category. Dates are ISO 8601; a date-only 'to' is inclusive (UTC). Pass 'currency' to also get totals converted into one currency using Frankfurter market rates (USD bridge). Pass 'rates' (e.g. {"USD-RUB": 82.5}) to use the user's own rates; ask the user for a rate when the result lists missingRates. Never invent rates for currencies listed in missingRates.
