call_recruit
ChatGPTUse this when the user wants to call a prospect on the recruiting board, named as on the board or by his id. A call spends 1 of the coach's 10 recruiting hours for the day, raises his interest in the user's school and reveals what he cares about most: early playing time, a winning program, or his relationship with the coaches. Each prospect takes one call a day from a school; a second call the same day changes nothing and says so. Returns his updated interest; his true rating stays hidden.
create_program
ChatGPTUse this when the user wants to start playing Kickhollow, the high-school football dynasty game, or to start a program in a friend's conference with its 6-letter code. Creates the user's fictional small-town program (one per user) with a 36-player roster in an 8-school conference and shows it in the card. All inputs are optional: a made-up town name (one is generated if omitted), a mascot from the list, and a friend's conference_code. If the user already has a program, it is returned unchanged, so a repeated call is safe.
delete_program
ChatGPTUse this only when the user asks to delete their Kickhollow program or their data. Deletes the program, its roster, history and recruiting at once; its conference seat goes to a computer-coached school. It can't be undone; a repeated call right after reports the same deletion. Programs are also deleted after 180 days without play.
get_program
ChatGPTUse this to show the user's Kickhollow program: the record, the next game and the opponent's scouting report, the lineup, the recruiting board, the conference standings, the schedule, or a game's box score. view picks what to show (home by default); day picks a game for view 'game' (the latest game if omitted). Read-only: it plays no game and changes nothing.
host_official_visit
ChatGPTUse this when the user wants a prospect on the recruiting board, named as on the board or by his id, to take an official visit to the user's school. A visit spends 5 of the coach's 10 recruiting hours for the day, raises his interest a lot (more when the program fits what he cares about) and reveals what he cares about. Each prospect takes one official visit to a school per season; a second request for the same prospect changes nothing and says so. Returns his updated interest and the school he leans to; his true rating stays hidden.
join_conference
ChatGPTUse this only when a user who already has a program asks to move it into a friend's conference with its 6-letter code (a user without a program uses create_program with conference_code). The program keeps its roster and history, but its record for the current season starts over in the new conference, its recruiting board is replaced by the new conference's, and its old seat goes to a computer-coached school. It can't be undone. If the program is already in that conference, nothing changes.
offer_scholarship
ChatGPTUse this when the user wants to give a prospect on the recruiting board, named as on the board or by his id, a scholarship offer. An offer spends no recruiting hours, takes one of the program's open scholarships and raises his interest. It can't be withdrawn: the scholarship stays committed to him until Signing Day, when he signs with the offering school he likes most if his interest is high enough. A prospect can sign only with schools that offered him. A repeated offer for the same prospect changes nothing and says so. Returns his updated interest and the school he leans to; his true rating stays hidden.
play_game_day
ChatGPTUse this when the user wants to play today's game, or, after the season's 9 game days, to hold Signing Day. The engine simulates the game from both teams' lineups and game plans and returns the final score, the game's key moments in order and the next game day. One game day per real day per conference: calling again the same day returns today's result instead of playing again. In a conference with friends it locks in the user's lineup and plan; the game day kicks off for the whole conference once every coach has locked in, or at 7 PM in the conference's time zone. A played game can't be replayed. Holding Signing Day ends the season: recruits sign, seniors graduate and leave the roster, returning players develop, and the finished season's box scores give way to one line per season in the program's history.
scout_recruit
ChatGPTUse this when the user wants to scout a prospect on the recruiting board, named as on the board or by his id. A scouting trip spends 2 of the coach's 10 recruiting hours for the day and narrows the user's scouting range for his current rating; from the second trip the report includes a guess at his ceiling, and after 4 trips he is fully scouted. The same trip asked for twice within a few seconds counts once; each later scout is a new trip that spends 2 more hours. Returns the user's updated scouting report; his true rating stays hidden until he signs.
set_depth_chart
ChatGPTUse this when the user wants to change who starts. Each move puts a player into the starting lineup at his own position: name the player to start and, optionally, the starter he replaces (otherwise the lowest-rated starter there sits). auto: true starts the best-rated player at every position. Players are named as on the roster. The lineup is used from the next game day on and can be changed again any time before kickoff.
set_game_plan
ChatGPTUse this when the user wants to set the game plan for the next game. offense: run_heavy, balanced or pass_heavy. defense: stack_the_box (against the run), balanced or coverage (against the pass). aggression: conservative (kick field goals, fewer turnovers), normal or aggressive (go for it, blitz, take shots: more big plays and more turnovers both ways). feature: a quarterback, running back, receiver or tight end on the roster who gets more touches, or 'none'. Omitted fields stay as they are. The plan is used from the next game day on.
