klaro.legal

by Martin Schenk S.L.

Overview

klaro.legal explains contracts, official letters, tax notices and terms and conditions in plain, everyday language — clause by clause, with the original wording next to it. Send the document in whichever form you have it: as text, as a base64-encoded PDF, or as photos of the pages. Scans and phone photos without a text layer are read by OCR first, so a letter someone photographed on the kitchen table works as well as a typed one. The answer is a short summary plus one entry per clause: what it says, what it means, and why it matters. The explanation can be written in German, English, Spanish, French, Italian or Portuguese; the document itself may be in any language. What it does not do: it does not review the document, does not score it, does not flag clauses as unfair, and does not tell you what to do. klaro.legal is software, not a law firm — what matters in a specific case is for a qualified lawyer to decide, and every answer says so. Privacy: documents are anonymised before the analysis and processed inside the EU, on AWS Bedrock in Paris. The text is not sent to any other AI provider. No account, no API key, no sign-up. Operated by Martin Schenk S.L., Madrid.

explain_document

Claude
Explains a contract, official letter, tax assessment or terms-and-conditions document in plain language, clause by clause. The document can be sent as plain text, as a base64-encoded PDF, or as base64-encoded photos of its pages — exactly one of the three. Scans and phone photos without a text layer are read by OCR, so a photographed letter works as well as a typed one. Returns every relevant clause with the original wording, a plain language version and why it matters, plus a short summary. It explains what the document says — it does not give legal advice, does not review the document and does not recommend a course of action. Plain text takes 20 to 60 seconds, a scan or photo longer because of OCR. If it is still running when this call returns, use get_explanation with the returned analysis_id.

get_explanation

Claude
Fetches the result of an explain_document call that was still running. Pass the analysis_id it returned.
