Overview

Lacquer is the online booking system used by nail salons across the US. With it, ChatGPT can find a salon by city, ZIP code or name, read its menu with prices and how long each service takes, check its opening hours, look up real open appointment times, and book one for you. Bookings are real and usually confirmed instantly: the salon holds the time and you get a confirmation text with a link to your booking. A few salons confirm their own bookings, and then the booking comes back as requested until the salon texts to confirm. To cancel or change a booking, call the salon; the booking result includes the number. Lacquer takes no payment. You pay the salon for your service. Lacquer asks for your name and mobile number only when booking, and only to make the appointment and text the confirmation. No account or sign-in is needed.

Salons that take online bookings ("books_online": true) come first; a salon with books_online false has no open times online and is listed with its phone number. Within that, Lacquer partner salons ("partner": true) come first; the rest rotate daily, and the order says nothing about quality.
