fetch
ClaudeRetrieve a source by LexVim id: citation data, links, status, the first 24,000 characters of its text, and next_offset when more text exists. For judgments the response includes operative_part_excerpt (the 'resuelve' section). Original wording is not a certification of current law; some records contain metadata only.
find_document_passages
ClaudeFind literal phrases anywhere in a long source (judgment, code, law) and return verbatim passages with context, character offsets and pagination via next_offset. Matching is case-insensitive; accents and spacing must match. Multiple phrase variants are supported. Results are excerpts, not semantic search or a complete reading of exceptions and the operative part.
get_article
ClaudeRead one numbered article of a law or code with its original text, status, structural heading, amendments and any extracted replacement candidate. Unsegmented articles are reported as missing; replacement candidates are not certified consolidations.
get_articles
ClaudeRead up to ten articles of one law or code by number, e.g. law="Código Civil", article_numbers=["1834","1835"], or law="Ley 1/1992". Each article returns original text, status, structural heading, amendments with the amending law's by_id and, when detected, amended_text_candidate. Replacement candidates are extracted wording, not certified consolidations. "17 bis" stays distinct from "17". Unsegmented articles are listed in missing_articles, never replaced by a neighbour.
get_collection_status
ClaudeCollection size by source, publication timestamps and citation-graph date. Counts include metadata-only records; they do not certify that all Paraguayan norms or judgments are included or current.
get_legal_relations
ClaudeList a norm's legal relationships with supporting evidence, e.g. which laws amended or repealed it (normative_incoming) or which decrees regulate it (regulatory_chain). Relations come from a dated graph (graph.built_at); a missing relation does not certify validity and a citation is not a repeal.
read_document
ClaudeRead the source text page by page (offset is a character position, not a PDF page). Optionally jump to a literal phrase with find; match_found=false is only a literal miss. Returns has_more/next_offset, text_sha256, quality warnings and, for judgments on the first page, operative_part_excerpt. Metadata-only records have no text.
search
ClaudeSearch Paraguayan legal sources across three collections: statutory articles (Constitution, codes, laws), whole laws/decrees/regulations, and Supreme Court (CSJ) jurisprudence. Returns one ranked list with id, kind, cite (suggested formal citation), excerpt, status/outcome and url. Excerpts are partial source text, not a complete reading or certification of current law.
search_law_articles
ClaudeFind articles within one law or code by legal concept (e.g. law="CPC", query="plazo para apelar"). Scans every segmented article with accent-insensitive term matching plus article headings and structure (Libro/Título/Capítulo). Returns article numbers, cite, heading, status and matching excerpts. Lexical matching depends on statutory wording and may miss synonymous concepts; excerpts are not complete articles.
search_legal_sources
ClaudeFiltered, paginated search over one collection. Use scope to target legislation or case law, and facet values (returned on the first page) to filter by document type, source, court or matter. Years filter publication dates, not historical applicability. Results rank within a window of the 300 best candidates; it is not an exhaustive census. Use offset/next_offset to page.
search_related_sources
ClaudeFind judgments (or norms/guidance) that cite a law or one exact article, e.g. law="Código Civil", article_number="1989", query="usucapión". Uses the published citation graph dated by graph.built_at, with court/year/matter filters, doctrinal summaries when available and cursor pagination over all indexed citations. A citation alone does not establish a holding or binding precedent. Unsegmented articles return an error instead of silently widening to the whole law.
verify_citations
ClaudeCheck every legal citation in a draft before filing: laws (Ley N/AAAA), articles of codes and the Constitution ("art. 234 del CPC", "CN art. 133"), decrees, acordadas and judgments (A. y S., A.I., S.D.). For each citation: whether it exists in LexVim, the article's current status and amendments, and — when the draft quotes the article in quotation marks — whether the quoted wording matches the source (coincide / parcial / no_coincide). Also lists article mentions with no identifiable law. Not found means not in LexVim, not necessarily nonexistent.
