MarginEdge is restaurant back-office software that processes invoices, tracks food costs and inventory, and connects to POS and accounting systems. This plugin gives ChatGPT read-only access to your MarginEdge data, so owners, operators, chefs and accounting teams can get answers in plain language instead of building reports by hand. With it, ChatGPT can: - Look up invoices by date range, vendor or location, down to individual line items - Track what you pay for a product over time and compare prices across vendors - Review recipes, ingredients and plate costs, and how recipe costs have changed - Pull inventory counts and values, and the count sheets behind them - Read sales and profit-and-loss reports for a single location or a group of locations - Browse your product catalog, categories, vendors and vendor items Example questions: - "Which products went up the most in price from our produce vendor this quarter?" - "What did we spend on food by category at our downtown location last month?" - "Which menu recipes are over their target plate cost?" - "Compare sales across our locations for last week." Works well for multi-location groups: ChatGPT can roll data up across locations or drill into one. How it works: sign in with your MarginEdge account. ChatGPT sees only the restaurants and data your account already has access to, and it can't create, change or delete anything in MarginEdge. Access requires a MarginEdge Admin or Franchisee Admin role.
