Marqio screens proposed trademarks against official trademark registers, directly in Claude. Quick check (free, no account needed): one mark in one register, by default EU trade marks (EUIPO). Returns a GREEN/YELLOW/RED triage, the closest registered marks with phonetic and visual similarity scores, and counts of potential conflicts in Germany, Switzerland, the UK and WIPO. Clearance search (paid from your Marqio credit): identical, phonetic and spelling variants across a full scope of registers, either EU + Switzerland (EUIPO, the 27 national EU registers and Switzerland) or International (additionally UKIPO and WIPO/Madrid). Claude first gets a quote with the exact cost and your balance; the search only starts after you confirm, and credits are charged only once it has finished. A search where no register answers is not charged. Every clearance search creates a case in your Marqio account with every hit, its register number and a link to the official record, plus a PDF report by e-mail. Claude can fetch earlier reports and the status of running searches. Nice class suggestions: describe your goods or services and Marqio suggests matching Nice classes. Sign-in: quick checks and Nice class suggestions work without an account. Clearance searches, reports, research status and account status need a Marqio account. The first time Claude calls one of these tools, it asks you to sign in at Marqio (OAuth); the account is created there for free, no payment method required. Register data comes from TMview, the search platform of the European Union Intellectual Property Network, and for EU trade marks from the EUIPO Trademark Search API. Marqio does not send your data to any language model; Claude writes the assessment. Results are screening, not legal advice.
