Tools
create_capture
ChatGPTCreate a URL, note, or text capture in Material. URL captures are processed later by the normal enrichment worker.
create_note
ChatGPTCreate a markdown note in Material, optionally filed into a space.
create_space
ChatGPTCreate a space when the user asks. List spaces first to avoid creating an existing collection. Reuse spaceId on retries.
export_space_markdown
ChatGPTExport a Material space, or the whole stream when no spaceId is supplied, as a portable markdown bundle.
fetch_card
ChatGPTFetch one Material card, optionally including its captured markdown.
list_spaces
ChatGPTList the user's non-archived Material spaces.
search_cards
ChatGPTSearch saved Material cards by keyword, optionally in a space. An empty query returns recent Stream cards. Semantic search is not supported.
update_card
ChatGPTEdit only when asked. Fetch the card first and pass its editVersion as expectedVersion. Change title or personal annotation on any card; markdown replaces only an authored note's body, never captured source text. Preserve existing content unless the user explicitly asks to replace it. On conflict, read again and ask before overwriting newer work.
