Overview

See when working could become optional for you. Share a few rough numbers (your age, take-home pay, what you save each month and what you've saved so far) and Mintwell runs the same planning engine financial advisors use. You'll see your work-optional status at the age you choose, what you'd have saved by then compared with what that goal needs, and the simplest ways to get On Track, such as saving a little more or moving the goal a year or two. Try a what-if just by asking. If you'd like to keep the plan, save it to a Mintwell account, update it as life changes, and ask an advisor from the Mintwell directory for help if you want it. Estimates are for education only, not investment, tax or legal advice.

Tools

check_work_optional

ChatGPT
Use this when someone asks when they could stop working, retire or reach financial independence, whether their savings are on track for that, or how saving more or working longer would change it. It runs Mintwell's work-optional check on their numbers and shows their status at their goal age, what they'd have saved by then against what the goal needs, and the simplest ways to get On Track. With their monthly spending by category (optional), the card also shows where they could find money and what each change does for their plan. Needs their age, pay, monthly saving and total saved; ask for any you don't have. Not for choosing investments, taxes, or budgeting questions on their own.

save_plan_to_mintwell

ChatGPT
Use this when the person wants to keep their work-optional plan, come back to it, update it as life changes, or get help from a financial advisor. Call it with the same numbers as check_work_optional, and only after they say they want to save it. It keeps the plan for 14 days and returns a private link where they create a Mintwell account to keep it. No email or account details are needed here.
