add_jobs_from_search
ChatGPTSave the filters to a saved search, put the picked preview jobs on the tracker, and start finding more matching jobs in the background (they appear over the next minutes). This is how a new user gets their first jobs.
answer_job_question
ChatGPTReply on a job in the more_info stage, where Mogi is waiting on the user (for example an answer an application form asks for). Only works on jobs in that stage. The text is posted as the user's answer.
approve_high_fit_jobs
ChatGPTApprove every job waiting for approval that has a strong fit score. Mogi then applies to all of them.
approve_resume
ChatGPTRarely needed: Mogi approves a resume itself the moment it is formatted. Kept for a resume that is ready but somehow unapproved. One-way; the first one becomes the default.
complete_onboarding
ChatGPTGo live: Mogi starts applying for the user. This records the user's signed acceptance of the Terms with their typed initials and today's date. Requires an active account, a resume, the required profile answers and how they heard about Mogi (see get_onboarding_status).
create_search
ChatGPTSave a new job search (up to 5). From tomorrow it finds matching jobs every day. Needs at least one title keyword or company. To see sample results first, use preview_new_jobs.
decide_jobs
ChatGPTRecord the user's decision on jobs (up to 50 per call): approve (Mogi will then apply to the job), reject (pass on it), or undo (move it back to waiting for approval). Returns which jobs changed and, for any that did not, why (for example the resume is not approved yet).
delete_resume
ChatGPTDelete a resume. The user's last resume cannot be deleted (Mogi needs one to apply).
delete_search
ChatGPTDelete a saved search. Jobs it already found stay on the tracker. The user's last remaining search cannot be deleted; update_search changes it instead.
edit_resume_with_ai
ChatGPTAsk Mogi to rewrite a resume. An approved resume is edited as a draft copy, so nothing in use changes until the draft is saved with finish_resume_edit; a resume not yet approved is rewritten in place. Takes a minute or two; check get_resume_edit.
expand_searches
ChatGPTWhen the user gets too few jobs: widen one saved search and add up to four related searches (up to the 5-search limit), worked out from their resume and goals. It changes their searches and returns what changed.
finish_resume_edit
ChatGPTSave the edited draft (it replaces the resume) or throw it away.
get_account
ChatGPTAn overview of the user's Mogi account: who they are, whether the account is active, whether setup is finished and whether they can approve jobs right now (and why not), whether applying is paused, how many jobs sit in each stage of their tracker, new interviews, which permissions this connection has, and how much of today's request allowance is used.
get_job
ChatGPTFull details of one job on the tracker: the posting (description, requirements, responsibilities, skills, benefits), the company, and the notes thread on that job.
get_job_documents
ChatGPTThe tailored resume written for one job: status and a link to open it. It is used as written: nobody approves or edits a per-job resume (to change how resumes read, use edit_resume_with_ai on the master or the resume_creativity setting). There is no per-job cover letter: when cover letters are on, the letter in use goes with every application.
get_onboarding_status
ChatGPTWhether the user has finished setting up Mogi, and exactly what is left. Setup is: an active account (managed in the Mogi app), upload a resume (upload_resume), create at least one job search (create_search, optionally preview_new_jobs and add_jobs_from_search), fill the required profile answers and how they heard about Mogi (update_profile), then go live with complete_onboarding. Returns the Terms and every acknowledgment the user must read and accept before going live.
get_profile
ChatGPTThe user's application profile: the answers Mogi puts on employers' application forms (contact details, address, work authorization, sponsorship, availability, recent role, goals, companies to skip). Also lists any required answers still missing.
get_resume
ChatGPTOne resume with its status, a link to its formatted document, and its text as it reads now (including any saved AI edits) so you can discuss or improve it. Says whether there is a previous version to go back to (restore_previous_resume_version).
get_resume_edit
ChatGPTProgress of an AI resume edit, with a link to the edited draft once it is done and, for an edited copy, exactly what saving it would change: section by section, the lines it adds and removes, so the user can see them before deciding with finish_resume_edit.
get_resume_rebuild
ChatGPTWhere the required resume rebuild stands. Before Mogi applies, the user's base resume is rebuilt into a stronger one from ten questions about their own work, and they approve it (existing clients may keep their current resume instead). While it is not done, applications_held says whether Mogi is waiting on this. Returns the questions and the user's answers so far, then the draft once written, with its ATS score and what got stronger. next says what to do.
get_search_suggestions
ChatGPTChanges Mogi suggests to the user's saved searches, worked out from which jobs they have approved and rejected (for example 'exclude Staff titles'). Usually empty.
get_settings
ChatGPTHow Mogi runs for this user: whether jobs it finds are approved automatically, their resume customization (Heavy, Light or My own, as the app names it), the cover letter, whether applying is paused, plus their email preferences and which employer mail is copied to their personal Gmail. Tailored resumes are never reviewed one by one: Mogi applies with them as written.
get_support_messages
ChatGPTThe user's Messages conversation with Mogi support in the app, newest last.
list_cover_letters
ChatGPTThe user's cover letters and which one is in use. Mogi writes one letter from the user's resume, or they upload their own in the Mogi app. The letter in use goes with every application when cover letters are on (get_settings, update_settings generate_cover_letter).
list_emails
ChatGPTRecent conversations in the user's job inbox (mail from employers and job sites sent to their application address): sender, subject, a short preview, date, unread. Read one with read_email_thread.
list_interviews
ChatGPTInterviews Mogi brought in: the company, role, when the employer wrote, status and, where available, the next steps and scheduling link. Some interviews show only the company and role here; the rest of their details are in the Mogi app. New interviews appear after the user's 5:00 AM PT interview email, not before. Also returns the user's interview practice sessions.
list_jobs
ChatGPTList jobs on the user's tracker, one stage at a time, with how many jobs sit in every stage. Each job has a client_job_id used by every other job tool. fit_score (1-10) is how well the job matches the user's resume and search. Stage needs_approval holds new jobs. To answer "did I apply to X", "where is my application for X" or "what happened with X": stage all, company X (and search_text with the role words, if they named a role). Each job's status says what happened in the user's words; apply_url is the posting link. No job back means we never applied to that company.
list_resumes
ChatGPTThe user's resumes (up to 5). Status: processing = being formatted (a minute or two); ready = in use, no approval needed. The default resume is what every new job's tailored resume starts from.
list_searches
ChatGPTThe user's saved job searches with their filters and how many jobs each has found. Every day each search finds new matching jobs for the user's tracker.
mark_interview_done
ChatGPTMark an interview as done (it took place). Only when the user says so.
mark_job_outcome
ChatGPTRecord what happened after we applied: the employer invited the user to an interview or call, or the employer said no. Only for submitted applications.
pause_applications
ChatGPTStop every queued and in-progress application right away. The account stays active, jobs already sent stay on the tracker, and nothing is lost: resume_applications puts the same jobs back.
preview_new_jobs
ChatGPTLook up live jobs matching a search right now, before saving it, so the user can judge the results. Returns a small sample (up to about 15) with ids for add_jobs_from_search. Each call is limited per day, so tune filters with the user between calls rather than looping. Nothing is added to the tracker.
read_email_thread
ChatGPTRead one conversation from the user's job inbox: every message's sender, date and text. One-time codes and sign-in links are removed. Reading it here changes nothing: it stays unread in the app if it was unread.
reject_low_fit_jobs
ChatGPTReject every job waiting for approval whose fit score is 5 or lower. Jobs without a score are left alone.
respond_to_search_suggestions
ChatGPTApply or dismiss individual suggested changes from get_search_suggestions.
restore_previous_resume_version
ChatGPTUndo the last saved change to a resume: the version it replaced (before an AI edit was saved, or before the last restore) takes its place again, with the same name and default setting. The current version is kept and can be brought back the same way. Jobs already sent keep the resume they were sent with. get_resume says whether a previous version exists. Returns what changed, section by section.
resume_applications
ChatGPTTurn applying back on after pause_applications, restoring the jobs that pause parked.
undo_resume_edit
ChatGPTTake back the last AI edit on a resume that is still being edited (before it is saved or approved): the version before that edit comes back, without calling the AI. One step only. get_resume_edit says whether it is available (can_undo) and what the last change was (last_change). Takes a few seconds; check get_resume_edit.
update_cover_letter
ChatGPTChoose which cover letter goes with every application, or delete one the user uploaded.
update_email_preferences
ChatGPTChoose which emails the user gets: the emails Mogi writes (how many a day, which kinds, news and offers), and which employer mail is copied to their personal Gmail. For a user getting too many emails, the employer copies are almost always the cause: one per application Mogi sends.
update_profile
ChatGPTChange one or more answers on the user's application profile. Send only the fields that change. Required answers (phone, country, availability, sponsorship, and for the US citizenship and work authorization) can be changed but not removed. Values are saved as sent and appear on the user's job applications.
update_resume
ChatGPTRename a resume, make it the default, or set standing instructions for tailoring.
update_search
ChatGPTRename a saved search, pick which resume it uses, or change its filters. Only the filter fields you send change; the rest are kept.
update_settings
ChatGPTChange how Mogi runs: automatic job approval (strong matches or every match), resume customization (Heavy, Light or My own) and the cover letter. With automatic approval Mogi applies without asking. There is no per-resume review to turn on. The result says which values did not take and why. Account and payment settings stay in the Mogi app. To stop or restart applying altogether use pause_applications / resume_applications.
upload_resume
ChatGPTAdd a resume (PDF or DOCX, up to 10 MB). Mogi formats it for applicant tracking systems in a minute or two; then it is used automatically (no approval needed). A user can keep several resumes for different kinds of roles.
