Overview
my-app.engineer gives Claude somewhere to actually work. Connect it and Claude gets a private Linux workspace on a real machine: it writes and edits files, installs dependencies, runs your tests and linters, deploys the result to a live HTTPS URL, and reads back the logs and crash reasons when something fails. It is a persistent workspace, not a sandbox that forgets between messages. What it can do • Read, write and edit files in your workspace • Run shell commands: npm install, builds, test suites, eslint • Deploy a folder as a running app on its own HTTPS subdomain • Check whether a deployment is actually healthy, not just accepted • Read application logs, including the output of a container that crashed Why that last point matters: most deploy integrations can ship code but cannot tell you why it broke. If your app crash-loops, Claude can read the stack trace from the container that died and fix it, rather than reporting success and stopping. Permissions are per tool and chosen by you when you connect. A connection that only needs to read files is never offered the deploy tools. Every connection is scoped to one account's workspace and cannot reach another, and you can revoke it at any time from your settings. Requires a my-app.engineer account.
