get_all_drawing_symbols
ChatGPTReturns a summary of drawings across ALL symbols in the workspace — drawing count, AI-written count, and labels per symbol. Use this after a multi-symbol batch (propose_chart_changes with multiple symbols) to confirm off-symbol draws without switching charts. Read-only.
get_candles
ChatGPTReturns the most-recent OHLCV candle bars for the current chart. Fields: timestamp (epoch ms), open, high, low, close, volume. Read-only.
get_chart_context
ChatGPTReturns the current MyLinedChart chart and workspace summary: symbol, timeframe, range, chart_type, session ("eth"/"rth"), provider, connection state, feed type, candle/drawing/indicator counts, diagnostics ID, and data freshness. Read-only. After proposing a view_config change (switching symbol/timeframe/chart type/range), call this to confirm it applied — a symbol switch triggers an async data load, so if symbol/timeframe don't yet match what you set, or data_freshness_ms is null, wait briefly and call again. If the workspace is split into multiple panes, panes lists every live pane (pane_id, symbol, timeframe, range, chart_type, session, candle/drawing/indicator counts) — single-pane workspaces still return a one-item array. active_pane_id is the currently focused pane (matches summary's fields, which always describe that pane); split_layout_mode is "1" for single-pane or one of "2v"/"2h"/"3v"/"3h"/"4" for a split layout. Use panes to find a specific pane (e.g. "the pane showing AAPL") and pass its pane_id to propose_chart_changes to target it directly — see that tool's description for the targeting contract (explicit pane_id, symbol-match, and what happens when a symbol is ambiguous across panes).
get_drawings
ChatGPTReturns all drawings and price levels for the current chart symbol: trend lines, horizontal levels, note labels, and other overlays. Each drawing includes provenance ("ai" for AI-written, "user" for user-drawn), source (which integration wrote it), and change_id (links back to the proposal). Read-only.
get_indicators
ChatGPTReturns the configured indicators for the current chart: name, calculation parameters, placement (main/lower), and visibility. Includes both built-in indicators (custom:false) and custom formula-defined indicators (custom:true, with the formula string) — each includes provenance ("ai"/"user"), source, and change_id, same as built-ins. Does NOT include series data. Read-only.
get_provider_status
ChatGPTReturns market-data provider status: connection state, feed type, diagnostics ID, and last-updated. Works for all providers (IBKR, CommSec demo, etc.). Never exposes account IDs, credentials, or bridge URLs. Read-only.
get_trades
ChatGPTReturns the broker trade history overlaid on the current chart: timestamp, trade_type (buy/sell), quantity, price, and symbol. Populated for IBKR (fills from the current TWS session) and CommSec demo imports. Returns an empty array when no trades are available. Read-only.
propose_chart_changes
ChatGPTProposes changes to the chart open in the user's MyLinedChart app: add, update, replace or remove drawn lines (horizontal line, trend line, ray, segment), add or change indicators, or change the chart view (symbol, timeframe, range). Nothing is applied directly: the app shows each proposal and the user approves or rejects it there. Use get_chart_context, get_drawings and get_indicators first to find ids and the current symbol. The tool never places trades and never changes accounts or orders.
