add_card
ChatGPTAdd a credit card to the user's nextcard wallet by catalog slug (e.g. chase-sapphire-preferred), name, or creditCardId. This records the card in nextcard only; it does not apply for a card. If the search matches several cards, returns status ambiguous with the matching options (slug, name, issuer; at most 50, with matchCount as the total) and changes nothing: call again with the chosen slug, or with a more specific search when matchCount exceeds the options shown. The wallet can hold several copies of a card; adding a card the user already has needs a nickname to tell the copies apart (status nickname_required otherwise). If only a removed copy exists, returns archived_copy_exists: use restore_card, or pass a nickname to add a new copy. Undo with remove_card.
get_card
ChatGPTShow one wallet card's earn rates, benefits, and statement credits with this period's usage. Takes a walletCardId from list_cards.
get_overview
ChatGPTSummarize the user's nextcard account: plan, number of cards, total annual fees, statement credit value used this year and still available, credits expiring in 30 days, and estimated rewards value. Start here for broad questions.
list_cards
ChatGPTList the credit cards in the user's nextcard wallet with their walletCardId, card name, issuer, nickname, last four digits, opened date, and annual fee. Use state to include removed (archived) cards.
list_credits
ChatGPTList statement credits across the user's cards for the current period: amount, amount used, amount remaining, period dates, and days remaining. status defaults to available (tracked credits with value left); use used or all for others. Optionally filter to one walletCardId or to credits ending within expiringWithinDays.
list_maps
ChatGPTList nextcard's restaurant and hotel maps, including Restaurant Week maps: each map's mapKey, the programs it always covers (scopePrograms), the programs its programs filter accepts, and the search arguments, features, services, and business types it accepts. Call this before search_restaurants or search_hotels to choose a map and its filters.
list_offers
ChatGPTList card-linked merchant offers on the user's cards: merchant, offer, reward, minimum spend, expiry, status, and card. Filter by merchant search or walletCardId. Returns up to limit offers (default 20, max 50); pass nextCursor back as cursor for more.
list_rewards
ChatGPTList the user's points, miles, and cash back by program, including nextcard's cents-per-point valuation, estimated dollar value, pending points, status level, and manually tracked awards. Each program includes follow-up ids; each award includes its quantity, redeemed and remaining counts, description, expiry, and last redemption date. Hidden balance and status tracking fields remain hidden, and member numbers and raw provider data are never returned.
list_transfer_partners
ChatGPTList active transfer partners across the catalog, with standard and boosted ratios, transfer-partner URLs, active or next-7-day bonus terms, a status of active or upcoming, and eligibility flags for the user's wallet cards. Ended bonuses and transfers are hidden. The catalog includes programs the user does not hold, so it can help compare a future card. Filter by source programSlug or rewardsProgramId, by loyaltyAccountId for a held program, or by partnerProgramSlug. Results are paginated with cursor and limit (default 20 programs, max 20). Call this after list_rewards when it reports activeTransferBonuses or upcomingTransferBonuses.
remove_card
ChatGPTRemove a card from the user's nextcard wallet. The card is archived, its history is kept, and the bank account is not affected. Undo with restore_card.
restore_card
ChatGPTPut a removed (archived) card back in the user's nextcard wallet. Use list_cards with state archived to find it.
search_hotels
ChatGPTSearch one nextcard hotel map (mapKey from list_maps) the way its page filters: by name or text, a place (city, metro, state, or ZIP; add radiusMiles to search near it) or coordinates, programs (programMatch any or all), minimum rating, nightly cash rate and points ranges, the nights prices cover (priceFrom and priceTo, YYYY-MM-DD, both inclusive: prices are the cheapest single night in that range, not a quote for a stay), brands as the map groups them (any of: Amex brand groups such as Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton, Four Seasons, or Other; Chase and Hilton brands; Bilt programs; Hyatt categories such as Category 4), Points Boost tiers in cents per point (pointsBoostCpp: 1, 1.65, 2, 2.5), the Select Hotels credit, recently added hotels, hotels without award fees (noAwardFees), and the user's saved hotels (saved). Only filters the map offers are accepted; list_maps lists them. Returns up to limit hotels (default 10, max 25) with its brand, each program's lowest nightly rate and points within pricingWindow, and a nextcard link; pass nextCursor back as cursor for more. When exactTotal is false, a filter was applied to each page, so pages can be short and totalCount counts hotels before it. Prices are cached from the programs and can change; dates and filters the user's plan does not cover are refused.
search_restaurants
ChatGPTSearch one nextcard restaurant map (mapKey from list_maps, including Restaurant Week maps) the way its page filters: by name or text, a place (city, metro, state, or ZIP; add radiusMiles to search near it) or coordinates, programs to include or exclude (programMatch any or all), cuisines, minimum rating, features such as gift-cards, ordering, tock, or Resy credit eligibility, services, business types, Stack size, minimum modeled return, Restaurant Week boroughs, meal types, and weeks, the user's saved restaurants (saved), newly added or removed restaurants (lifecycle), and published menu items (menu.query with optional prices). Only filters the map offers are accepted; list_maps lists them. Returns up to limit restaurants (default 10, max 25) with their programs, reward stack, distance, and nextcard link; pass nextCursor back as cursor for more. lifecycle removed returns removedRestaurants instead. restrictedFilters lists requested filters the user's plan does not include, which were not applied. Modeled returns are illustrative estimates, not guaranteed savings.
set_credit_tracked
ChatGPTChoose whether nextcard tracks a statement credit. Ignored credits are hidden from available totals and reminders. Undo by calling again with the opposite value.
set_credit_usage
ChatGPTRecord how much of a statement credit the user has used this period. Pass status used (the full amount) or unused (zero), or an exact amountUsed. The amount is capped at the credit's value. This updates nextcard's tracking only and never redeems money. Returns previousAmountUsed; pass it as amountUsed to undo. Automatically detected usage can keep the total above zero.
update_card
ChatGPTChange a wallet card's nickname, last four digits, opened date (YYYY-MM-DD; updates welcome-bonus deadlines), cardholder type, or cardholder description (for type other). Only the fields you pass change; null clears nickname, lastFour, cardholderType, or cardholderTypeOther. Returns undo: the stored values of every changed field, which you can pass back to update_card to reverse the edit, and a note when part of it cannot be undone.
