Overview

PartyFun is a whiteboard of sticky notes, frames, docs and arrows that your team and AI work on together. Open a board beside the conversation and watch the changes land as they're made; what you select on it is shared as context. Sort and prioritize workshop notes, turn a retro into a plan, write a doc from a brainstorm, or lay out a flow.

Tools

add_arrows

ChatGPT
Draw arrows (connectors) between shapes or points: flows, mind maps, dependencies. An end given as a shape id attaches to that shape and follows it when it moves. Optional label, color, arrowheads, dashes. It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

add_comment

ChatGPT
Start a comment thread pinned on the board, as yourself: to ask the user about something there, flag a problem, or leave a review note. Pin it on a shape (on: it follows the shape) or at a point. It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

add_frame

ChatGPT
Add a named frame: around shapes (with padding), or at a box. Shapes fully inside a frame belong to it. It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

add_image

ChatGPT
Add a picture from a public https link (PNG, JPEG, WebP or GIF, up to 4 MB: prefer a ~800px version, e.g. a Wikimedia Commons thumbnail). It keeps its proportions: give the width, the height follows. It downloads the picture from the public link given, and adds it to the user’s PartyFun board.

add_notes

ChatGPT
Add sticky notes in a grid (16px apart): into an existing frame (below what it holds; the frame grows to fit), at a point, or in free space; optionally in a new named frame. It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

add_text

ChatGPT
Add a text label (a title, a caption, a few lines of context) at a point on the board. It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

align

ChatGPT
Align shapes to the edge or center of their bounds. It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

board_view

ChatGPT
A one-time address to show a board in the app view. It only reads the user’s PartyFun boards.

complete_request

ChatGPT
Mark a request written on the board (a note mentioning you, like "@cursor …") as done, with one line on what you did. Call it once you have finished. Anything more to tell the person (a question, why you couldn’t, what you did outside the board) goes in message, never on a note. For a request made in a comment thread, reply with reply_comment and done: true instead. It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

compose

ChatGPT
Build a section of the board in one call: headings, texts, rows of pictures (by https link) and grids of notes, stacked top to bottom without overlaps, optionally in a new frame. It appears on the board block by block. To build a big section in parts, pass into (the frame id the first call returned) to add below what it holds. Pictures given by link are downloaded from those public links; everything else only changes the user’s PartyFun board.

create_board

ChatGPT
Create a new, empty board. Returns its id and link (the user opens the link to watch). It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

delete

ChatGPT
Delete shapes. A frame goes with what is inside it, unless keepContents. Arrows attached to deleted shapes go too. It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

distribute

ChatGPT
Space shapes evenly along an axis; the outermost ones stay put. It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

duplicate

ChatGPT
Copy shapes (frames with what is inside). Frames land to their right, other shapes slightly offset. synced: true makes synced copies of notes (they land to the right): one note in several places, sharing its text and tags, so editing one edits all. It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

format_text

ChatGPT
Format text labels: font, size, bold, strikethrough, alignment, color. Only the fields given change. It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

get_board

ChatGPT
Read a board as an outline: a heading per frame, a line per shape with its kind, id, position, size, color, tags and text; plus the user’s selection when it’s the board they have open. Long texts are cut short: pass ids and full: true to read some shapes in full. It only reads the user’s PartyFun boards.

get_comments

ChatGPT
Read the comment threads pinned on a board: where each is (and the shape it’s on), and its conversation. Resolved threads are left out unless asked for. It only reads the user’s PartyFun boards.

get_selection

ChatGPT
What the user has selected in their browser, on the board they have open. It only reads the user’s PartyFun boards.

group_notes

ChatGPT
Sort notes into categories you define: Jev (a classifier) reads each note and files it; each category becomes a frame. Notes Jev isn’t sure about go to "Not sure". Frames that held only these notes are replaced. It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

list_boards

ChatGPT
The user’s boards (the ones they opened or you created), most recent first, and which one is open now. It only reads the user’s PartyFun boards.

merge_duplicates

ChatGPT
Find notes that say the same thing (Jev compares each note with the others) and merge each group into one pile; the pile can be unmerged later. It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

move

ChatGPT
Move shapes, by an offset or each to a point. A moved frame takes what is inside along. It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

open_board

ChatGPT
Show a board to the user, live, beside the conversation: they watch your changes as you make them, and what they select on it is shared with you as context. Pass board (from list_boards) to open it; without it, the user picks one of their boards. It only reads the user’s PartyFun boards.

prioritize_notes

ChatGPT
Impact × effort matrix: Jev scores each note’s impact (against the goal) and effort, and the notes are laid out in four frames: Quick wins, Big bets, Fill-ins, Money pits. It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

publish_page

ChatGPT
Publish a web page on the board: one self-contained HTML file (inline CSS and JS, no build step) that PartyFun hosts at a public link and shows on the board as a live preview card. Pass page (an id from get_board or an earlier publish) to update that page instead: its card reloads. The page is published at a public link anyone can open, and shown on the user’s PartyFun board.

read_doc

ChatGPT
Read a doc on the board (a markdown document card): its title and its whole markdown. It only reads the user’s PartyFun boards.

read_page

ChatGPT
Read a web page on the board (a prototype, demo or app card): its title, public link and whole HTML, to understand it, review it or change it (then publish_page with the same page). It only reads the user’s PartyFun boards.

rename_board

ChatGPT
Rename a board (the user sees the new name right away). It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

rename_frame

ChatGPT
Rename a frame. It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

reorder

ChatGPT
Bring shapes to the front or send them to the back. It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

reply_comment

ChatGPT
Reply in a comment thread on the board, as yourself (the user sees it right away, in the thread). When the thread asked you to do something, pass done: true on the reply that says what you did (or why you couldn’t). It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

resize

ChatGPT
Resize a shape. Notes stay square (their content scales); texts size themselves. It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

set_arrow

ChatGPT
Change arrows: reattach an end (a shape id or a point), route (straight, elbow, curve), arrowheads, dashes. It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

set_color

ChatGPT
Color notes (yellow, pink, green, blue, purple, orange), frames (white, grey, green, blue, red, yellow), or texts and arrows (any CSS color). Hex works everywhere. It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

set_frame_rule

ChatGPT
Give a frame a rule: the notes that land in it (dragged in by anyone, or moved in by an agent) take this color. For a board flow: To do (yellow) → Doing (blue) → Done (green); the frame's name is the status. The notes already in the frame take the color too. color "none" removes the rule (notes keep their colors). It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

set_note_text_size

ChatGPT
Zoom the text inside notes: 0.9 small, 1 medium, 1.15 large, 1.3 extra large. It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

set_text

ChatGPT
Replace a note's or a text's text, or an arrow's label (empty: no label). It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

set_view

ChatGPT
Move your own camera on the board: people who follow you (they click your face, then Follow) see what you show; nobody else's view moves. Frame shapes (ids), an area, or the whole board (neither), at a zoom (zoom: 1 is 100%) or as close as fits; it glides there (duration ms, 0 cuts). Use it to walk followers through a board or show what you made. It needs the live connection (realtime). It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

set_wordart

ChatGPT
Turn a text into WordArt (a style key), or back to plain text (null). It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

tag

ChatGPT
Add or remove tags on notes (short labels shown on the note). It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

tag_notes

ChatGPT
Tag notes with tags you define: Jev decides each tag on each note (a note can get several, or none). It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

tidy_up

ChatGPT
Keep shapes in their rows and space them 16px apart. It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

toggle_bullets

ChatGPT
Put a bullet on every line of these texts, or take them off if they all have them. It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

unmerge

ChatGPT
Split a pile of merged notes back into separate notes around it. It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

unsync

ChatGPT
Detach synced notes from their copies: they keep their text, and stop following the others. It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

update_memory

ChatGPT
Rewrite the board’s memory (the doc titled “Board memory”, made if the board has none): what the team decided, what was made and where (ids), what is still open. Pass the whole new text, short (under 30 lines, sections Decisions, Done, Open); agents read it before they work on the board. It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.

view_board

ChatGPT
See the board as a picture (like a screenshot): the whole board, the shapes you name (with some room around), or an area. Use it to check what you made looks right: nothing overlaps, text fits, it reads well. X-ray (on by default) outlines every shape and labels it with its kind and id, so you can act on what you see; pass xray: false for the clean view the user has. It only reads the user’s PartyFun boards.

view_image

ChatGPT
See a picture on the board (an image shape): returns the image itself, so you can read, describe or use what’s in it. It only reads the user’s PartyFun boards.

write_doc

ChatGPT
Write a doc on the board: a markdown document (headings, lists, task lists, tables, links) shown as a card the team opens to read and edit. Use it for a spec, PRD, synthesis, research or meeting notes: anything longer than a note. Pass doc (an id from get_board or an earlier write_doc) to replace that doc’s markdown, or add append to add to its end. It changes the user’s PartyFun board, which the people it’s shared with see live.
