Overview

PlatoForms is an online form builder for web forms, fillable PDF forms and PDF documents. This plugin connects your PlatoForms account so you can work with your own forms and their submissions in conversation, instead of opening the dashboard. What you can do • Find forms. List published, draft or archived forms with their folder, publish state and submission count, or search by name. • Understand a form. Read a form's full field schema — every field's id, type, label, whether it is required, its options and its validation rules — so you can reason about the data before you touch it. • Review submissions. List a form's submissions newest-first, filter them by date range or keyword, find one by an exact field value (for example the submission where the email field is a particular address), and read every answer of a single submission with its field labels. • Export. Mint a time-limited download URL for a submission's PDF, CSV, signing certificate, zipped attachments or a single attachment. Files are never streamed through the conversation — you get a link that expires. • Share a prefilled link. Create one or more tracked invitation links to a form with fields already filled in, optionally single-use, optionally with an expiry. The plugin returns the URLs for you to send; it never sends email itself. • Submit an entry. Post an entry to a published form after reading its schema, with validation errors returned verbatim so mistakes can be corrected and resubmitted. • Start something new. Describe a form or a PDF document in plain English and get a builder link back. The design happens in the PlatoForms builder when you open the link, with its own AI asking you the clarifying questions. How it connects Sign in with your PlatoForms account over OAuth — your password is never shared with the assistant, access is scoped to read or read-and-write, and you can revoke it at any time from your PlatoForms account. The plugin can only see what your own account can see. A team owner controls whether the team is reachable this way at all, from Account → API. Requirements A PlatoForms account on a plan that includes API access. Actions count against your plan's API allowance. Teams in HIPAA mode have this access switched off by default and must opt in explicitly; data sent to a third-party AI assistant is not covered by the PlatoForms Business Associate Agreement. What the plugin cannot do It cannot edit an existing form or document, publish, delete, rename or duplicate anything, send email, or configure workflows, integrations or notifications. Those stay in the PlatoForms editor.

Tools

act_on_renewal

ChatGPT
Act on a renewal: send (email the person now), dismiss, renewed (mark renewed by hand, with a note) or snooze (push the expiry by days).

create_form

ChatGPT
Create a new PlatoForms web form from a natural-language description (30-1000 characters describing the form's purpose and fields). style 'classic' shows all fields on one page; 'conversational' asks one question at a time. The AI form agent generates the form FOR REAL, server-side, right after this call — typically within 30-60 seconds. This tool waits briefly; if the result includes fields, the form is generated and you may report exactly those fields (never invent extras). If status is still "generating", say the form is being generated and will be ready in under a minute — check later with get_form_fields(draft=true), and do not guess the field list in the meantime. Follow-up changes are possible with update_form, or by the user chatting with the AI assistant in the builder (edit_url).

create_pdf_document

ChatGPT
Create a new PDF document (jarvis-doc) from a natural-language description (30-1000 characters describing the document's content and layout) — e.g. an invoice, contract, or intake packet. IMPORTANT — this tool only saves the prompt and hands back a link. It does NOT generate the document. Opening edit_url starts the document editor's AI agent on that prompt, and the agent designs it there. So: - Say the document is READY TO BUILD and the design starts when they open the link — never say it is created, generated or finished. - Do NOT describe the sections, pages or content as if they exist. You have not seen the result; the editor's agent decides it. - There is NO update/edit API for these documents. Do not offer to change it afterwards — the user keeps refining it by talking to the AI agent inside the document editor, or asks for a new document.

decide_workflow_task

ChatGPT
Approve or send back an approval task the connected account is assigned to (or owns the team of). outcome is 'approve', 'reject', or a custom outcome key from the workflow definition. Some steps require a comment.

find_submissions_by_field

ChatGPT
Find submissions of a form where a specific field exactly matches a value — e.g. find the submission where the email field is 'sarah@example.com'. field_id is the field's id (fid...) from get_form_fields. Matching is exact (not substring).

get_document_request

ChatGPT
One document request in full: every item with its slots and files (status received, accepted, rejected), the respondent, the timeline and the Documents link (with its passcode when the form asks for one; pass both on together). File ids download through get_download_link on the submission's attachments.

get_form_fields

ChatGPT
Get a form's field schema: every field's id (fid...), type, label, required flag, options, and validation rules. Call this before submitting to a form or interpreting submission values. Set draft=true for the unpublished draft version of the form.

get_submission

ChatGPT
Get one submission in full: every submitted field value (with field labels), submitter info, and the inventory of generated files. Use get_download_link to obtain URLs for those files.

get_workflow_run

ChatGPT
One workflow run in full: every task (who, status, due, decision), the audit trail, and links for open tasks.

list_document_requests

ChatGPT
List the document requests of a form (the documents asked for after each submission): counts of required items received, status, last activity. status filters to missing, needs_review, rejected or complete. Use get_document_request for the items and files.

list_forms

ChatGPT
List the user's PlatoForms forms (id, name, folder, publish state, submission count). Returns at most 200 forms; if truncated, use search_forms with a keyword to find a specific form instead.

list_my_inbox

ChatGPT
What is waiting on the connected account right now, as the PlatoForms Inbox shows it: account alerts (a failed payment, a drive to reconnect, a disabled webhook, a stopped sender), then the to-dos that need attention (approvals, forms to fill, files to review, renewals, paper imports, invitations, access requests), each grouped overdue / due_today / due_soon / waiting with a link to where the work is done. include_updates adds the last 7 days of updates (new submissions, finished runs). Answers "what's waiting on me?"; nothing here changes anything.

list_my_workflow_tasks

ChatGPT
Open workflow tasks assigned to the connected account (waiting for a form to be filled in or an approval). status defaults to open tasks; pass done | approved | rejected | cancelled to see history.

list_pdf_documents

ChatGPT
List the team's PDF documents (jarvis-docs, newest first): id, name, page count, and edit URL. These are standalone PDF documents, separate from the fillable forms returned by list_forms.

list_renewals

ChatGPT
List renewals of a form: submissions and documents that expire, when, and whether the renewal email went out. status filters to due, scheduled, sent, expired, renewed, needs_date, manual or dismissed.

list_submissions

ChatGPT
List submissions of a form (newest first): submission id, date, submitter, and available files (PDFs, attachments). Use get_submission for the submitted field values. Date filters accept ISO dates or datetimes, e.g. submitted_after='2026-08-01' or '2026-08-01T12:00:00Z'.

list_workflow_runs

ChatGPT
List the runs of a workflow (newest activity first): who has it, which step is open, whether it is overdue. status: running | completed | rejected | cancelled | expired. assignee filters to runs waiting on that email.

nudge_workflow_task

ChatGPT
Resend the task email to whoever an open task is waiting on (at most once an hour per task). Returns whether a message was sent.

search_forms

ChatGPT
Search forms by name (case-insensitive substring) or exact form id. Paginated, sorted by last modified.

send_documents_reminder

ChatGPT
Email the person the list of documents still missing on a request (at most once every 12 hours per request).

submit_form

ChatGPT
Submit data to a published form. Call get_form_fields FIRST and key values by field id (fid...): plain text/number/email fields take the value directly; Choice/Dropdown fields take the option label text. Date/time fields and fields with format rules need raw_values instead: a list of {"id": "<segment index>", "value": "<segment>"} per format segment. File/signature fields also use raw_values (see API docs) and can simply be omitted unless required. Validation errors are returned verbatim — fix the named field and resubmit. IMPORTANT: submissions are NOT idempotent — call once; if the call times out, check list_submissions before retrying, or you may create a duplicate. Submitting may trigger emails, webhooks, or other workflows configured on the form, so confirm the user's intent before calling this tool. wait_for_pdf=true waits for PDF generation (slower, may time out). Returns the stored submission including its field values, so no follow-up get_submission call is needed to confirm what was recorded.

whoami

ChatGPT
Verify the configured PlatoForms OAuth access token or API key and return the account's name and email. Call this first if any other tool reports an auth error.
