Overview
Generate subtitles, closed captions, or a timestamped SRT file from an existing video or audio file with Yaps desktop. The plugin checks app, sign-in, model, and FFmpeg readiness, preserves existing outputs, and reports the exact caption file Yaps generated. Requires a local-capable ChatGPT Desktop Work or Codex session; ChatGPT web and cloud sessions cannot reach the installed Yaps engine. Users can also run the feature directly in Yaps.
