Overview
style-my-space.com turns a room photo or a plain description into a concrete styling plan. Choose from a library of 30 named looks, each with its palette, materials, shapes, lighting, key pieces, staging rules and things to avoid, or let it work out which looks fit you. What it does: - Restyle a room: what stays, what goes, what comes in, where it sits and how it is lit, at one of three budget levels, fitted to what the room is for. - Renter-friendly by default: built-in features of a look are translated into freestanding or removable equivalents. No construction unless you ask for it. - Versions and directions: sibling versions of a look you like, or contrasting directions when you only have a theme. - Decode a look: turn an inspiration photo or a whole board into a style you can apply to your own room, or combine elements from several images. - Find your style: a short set of questions, or the rooms and objects you already like, matched to two or three looks with the reasons. - Quick wins: improvements for the room you have, sorted from free and five minutes to weekend projects. Also covers staging a home for sale or for guests. - Shopping plan: every piece in a look ranked by visual impact, with what to look for and a buying order in phases. - Where to start: which room of a home to redo first, and what finished means. Who it is for: renters, first-time decorators, people furnishing an awkward small or oversized room, and anyone preparing a home for photos, a sale or guests. Limitations: it gives styling advice, not architectural, structural or electrical advice. It does not measure your room, so check dimensions before you buy. Price figures are rough estimates, not quotes from a shop. It works from what is visible in your photo and what you tell it.
