Overview

Pulse Investor Matching ranks every investor in the Pulse investor directory that fits a startup's raise. The directory covers venture firms, seed funds, angels and accelerators, and is built from SEC Form D and Form ADV filings and from each investor's own website. Describe your company in a few lines, with stage, amount, sector, location and named competitors, and Claude gets back the ranked list with the total number of firms that fit. Each firm comes with a 0 to 100 fit score, its strongest reason with the page or filing it was read from and that source's date, whether it leads rounds, and how it takes pitches: its application form, email, or intro only. Firms that do not fit are counted by reason, so you can see who was left out and why: wrong stage, cheque size, a portfolio company that competes with yours, or no dated activity in the last 24 months. Ask about any single firm to see its full published record: stages, thesis, sector focus, portfolio companies named on its site, board seats from filings, people named in filings with their legal role, and every source page. Results are paged, so long lists stay complete, and you can refine with filters such as lead investors only, local firms only, no corporate funds, or excluding named firms. No account or login is needed. Both tools are read-only. Send a short profile, never your deck: matching never needs the file. Contact routes are firm-level only, and the tools never return a person's email address. Works for pre-seed through Series A. The method is published at usepulse.co/investors.

get_investor

Claude
The full published record for one investor by slug (as shown in ranked results or a usepulse.co/investors URL): stages, thesis, sector focus, lead role, how they take pitches, portfolio companies named on their site and board seats from filings (with the company's round, never a cheque), people named in filings with their legal role, fund filings and the pages every fact was read from. Answers questions such as "why is X not on the list?" and what a firm has published about itself. Returns not_found for a slug that is not published.

match_investors

Claude
Ranks every investor in the Pulse directory that fits a startup's raise, best fit first. Each call returns one page: up to 80 ranked firms (fewer when a page would be too long), the eligible total, and the rank range shown. Each row: rank, firm, 0 to 100 score, location, website, lead roles, whether it is a large fund, how the firm takes pitches (FORM with a programme URL, EMAIL, INTRO_ONLY, or null when unknown), its strongest reason with the page or filing it cites and that source's date, and a confidence flag for every missing field. To page, call again with the same profile and the same filters, adding filters.offset = page.nextOffset and filters.list_id = listId (both go inside filters, never at the top level); page.nextOffset is null at the end of the list. A page may hold fewer rows than its limit; continuing from page.nextOffset skips no rank. detail: "full" returns at most 25 rows per call with every reason, fund size, latest activity, stages, cheque size and the firm's own thesis, sector focus and summary, sourced (about). Firms left out by the hard filters (stage, cheque size, portfolio conflict with a named competitor, no dated activity in 24 months, the founder's own filters) are counted by reason on every page; the first page names every conflict and cheque exclusion. Input is a raise profile: company, one line, sector tags, stage, raise, location, competitors. The tool takes no files and no deck. The refinement filters (lead_only, exclude_corporate, local_only, types, exclude) define a new list, which starts at filters.offset 0 with no filters.list_id. Errors: list_id_required (filters.offset above 0 without filters.list_id); list_changed (the profile or filters differ from the call that started the list); list_expired or list_unavailable (a new list must start again with filters.offset 0 and no filters.list_id). Deterministic rubric v1-lexical; the method is published at usepulse.co/investors.
