Overview

Rank Titan tracks how local businesses rank in Google's map pack. This connector brings that into the chat. Two tools need no account at all: audit any business's Google profile and see what it is missing, or find out who really ranks for a local search, with ratings and review counts. Useful for a prospect, a competitor, or your own listing before you sign up for anything. With a Rank Titan account you also get your own data: the locations you manage, the map-pack positions Rank Titan last measured for each tracked keyword and when, a full profile audit, the reviews still waiting for a reply, and the ability to publish a reply to Google from the conversation. And the one local SEO is really about: a live ranking grid. Pick a business and a search, and it measures where you rank from 19 points spread across the area — which is how you discover you are first at your own door and invisible three miles away. It reports your average position, how much of the area holds a top-3 spot, and the competitors holding the rest. Rankings are stored measurements, not a live scan, and every answer says when they were last taken. A grid is run on request and is the one metered action: one free run per account. Sign-in is through the same Google account you use for Rank Titan, so there is no key to paste and no password for this connector to see.

Tools

audit_business_profile

Claude
Checks a business's Google Business Profile for the things Google uses to rank and display it: description, categories, website, phone, opening hours, photos and whether the listing is verified. Use this when the user asks what is wrong with their listing, why they are not showing up, how to improve their local SEO, or asks for an audit or a checkup. Call list_businesses first if you do not already have the locationId. Report the misses as concrete actions the owner can take, and do not invent findings beyond what the result contains.

audit_public_business

Claude
Audits the public Google Business Profile of ANY business — no Rank Titan account needed. Returns its category, website, phone, opening hours, rating and review count, and flags what is missing or weak. Use this whenever someone asks about a business that is not in their own account: their own before signing up, a prospect, or a competitor. This is the right tool when list_businesses returns nothing. Report the gaps as actions the owner can take today, and do not invent findings beyond what the result contains.

fetch_pending_reviews

Claude
Returns the Google reviews for a business that have not been replied to yet, newest first, with the review text, star rating, author and the review_id. Use this when the user asks about their reviews, what customers are saying, or wants help answering reviews. Call list_businesses first if you do not already have the locationId. The review_id returned here is the only valid input for post_review_reply. Never construct one.

get_heatmap_result

Claude
Fetches the results of a ranking grid: average position across the area, how many points hold strong coverage, and the competitors that hold the rest. Use it after get_local_heatmap said a scan was still running. Pass the same locationId and the same keyword. If the scan has not finished it says so.

get_keyword_rankings

Claude
Returns the local map-pack position Rank Titan last measured for each tracked keyword of a business, where 1 is the best possible position and 20 means the business did not appear anywhere in the search grid. Use this when the user asks how their business is ranking, which keywords are working, or how visible they are on Google Maps. Call list_businesses first if you do not already have the locationId. These are stored measurements, not a fresh scan, and the answer says when they were last taken — repeat that date rather than implying they are live.

get_local_competitors

Claude
Returns the businesses Google shows for a local search, with their star rating and how many reviews each has. No Rank Titan account needed. Use this when someone asks who their competitors are, who is ranking above them, or how they compare locally. Pair it with audit_public_business to show an owner the gap between their listing and the ones beating them. This is a single ranked list, not a geographic grid: do not describe it as a heatmap or claim it measures position across an area.

get_local_heatmap

Claude
Runs a live ranking grid: searches one keyword from 19 points spread across the area around a business and reports where it ranks at each one. This is what reveals that a business is first at its own door and invisible three miles away. Use it when someone asks how visible they are on Google Maps across a city, where they rank for a search, or wants to see a heatmap or geo-grid. The business name must match its Google listing exactly. Call audit_public_business first if you are unsure of the exact name or the coordinates. A scan takes from under a minute to several; if it is still running you get a link to watch it and can fetch the numbers later with get_heatmap_result.

list_businesses

Claude
Lists the ACTIVE Google Business Profile locations this Rank Titan account manages, with the locationId each one is identified by. Inactive locations are not tracked and are only reported as a count. Accounts can hold hundreds of locations, so pass search with part of the business name when the user named one. Without it you get the first 25. Use this first whenever the user asks about their own business, rankings, reviews or local SEO without naming a specific location, and whenever another tool needs a locationId you do not already have from this conversation. Never guess or construct a locationId: they are opaque 20-digit Google ids and a wrong one returns an access error.

post_review_reply

Claude
Publishes a reply to a single Google review, under the business's name. This is public and immediate: it appears on the business's Google listing and cannot be taken back from here. Before calling it, show the user the exact reply text and wait for them to approve it. Never call it with text you composed but did not show them, and never call it to 'try' anything. The review_id must come from fetch_pending_reviews.

sign_out

Claude
Ends this Rank Titan session. Use it when the user asks to sign out, log out, disconnect, or to switch to a different Rank Titan account. After this the user is signed out and will be asked to sign in again the next time they ask for their own data — which is how they switch accounts.
