Overview

Sito helps parents of babies and young children with two everyday questions, right inside ChatGPT. How to serve a food at your child's age. Ask about any of 583 foods and Sito shows its serving card for your child's age: a photo of each way to cut or prepare it, the choking rule, warnings, common allergens and iron. "See all ages" shows how serving changes from 6 months to 5 years. When a food is not right yet, such as honey before age 2, the card says so first, with the reason. How often a packaged food fits a child's diet. Ask about a snack, cereal, pouch or drink by name or barcode, and Sito shows its KidScore from 0 to 100 with a frequency band (Everyday, Most days, Sometimes, Once in a while, Rarely) and what drives it: added sugars, sodium, saturated fat, fiber, protein, additives, ultra-processing and the allergens on the label. The food guidance comes from public health sources such as the AAP, CDC and NHS, and each card names its sources. Product data comes from Open Food Facts. Sito gives general information, not medical advice: for allergies, reactions or growth concerns, talk to your child's doctor, and always stay with your child while they eat. No account is needed, and Sito keeps nothing that identifies you. Sito is also an app for iOS and Android that tracks what your child eats.

Tools

check_packaged_food

ChatGPT
Use this when a parent asks about a packaged food or drink for a child (a branded snack, cereal, pouch, yogurt, juice) or gives its barcode. Returns Sito's KidScore from 0 to 100 with its frequency band (how often it fits a child's diet) and what drives it: added sugars, sodium, saturated fat, fiber, protein, additives and ultra-processing, plus the allergens on the label. This card alone answers whether the product suits a child; do not add a food card for it unless the parent asks how to cut or serve it. Not for fresh, unpackaged foods (use get_food_serving_guide).

get_food_serving_guide

ChatGPT
Use this when a parent asks how to prepare, cut or serve one specific food for a baby or toddler (6 months to 5 years), or from what age a food is fine. Returns Sito's card for that food: the way to cut and serve it at the child's age with a photo, the choking rule, warnings, common allergens and iron. One food per call; for several foods use list_first_foods. For a branded or packaged product (Goldfish, Cheerios, a pouch) use check_packaged_food instead, and open this card as well only when the parent asks how to cut or serve it.

list_first_foods

ChatGPT
Use this when a parent wants ideas or a list of foods for a baby or toddler: first foods for an age, iron-rich foods, foods that contain a common allergen, foods of a kind (fruit, vegetables, proteins), or several named foods side by side. Shows up to 8 foods as cards. To show your own picks, pass their names in foods.
