calculate_shopify_profit
ChatGPTUse this when a Shopify seller asks what their real or net profit is, their contribution margin per order or SKU, which products make or lose money, or their margin after cost of goods, fees, discounts, shipping and refunds, including what refunds cost per SKU. Do not use for ad spend or ROAS, which it has no input for, or for orders from Amazon, Walmart or other channels. Needs the Shopify orders export (Orders > Export, plain CSV) and a cost file with each SKU's unit cost. Splits order discounts, shipping charged, refunds, payment fees (default 2.9% + 0.30 per order) and your shipping cost across line items by value, then returns units, revenue, discounts, refunds, COGS, fees, profit and margin per SKU, and the store's net profit. SKUs without a cost are counted at zero cost and flagged. Taxes are excluded. Read-only; stores nothing. It is an estimate from the export, not accounting advice.
