Overview

Squatch Connect helps you find and price travel eSIM data plans for destinations around the world, right inside ChatGPT. Ask what's covered, see exact per-destination pricing and data allowances, or get a recommendation for how much data a specific trip needs and which plan covers it. This plugin only looks things up in the Squatch Connect catalog — it does not sell anything, charge any payment method, or create an account, and it never links straight to a checkout. When you're ready, plans are purchased inside the separate Squatch Connect iOS app (Apple Pay or card), where the eSIM also installs with one tap. Squatch Connect itself requires no account and collects no personal data to use.

Tools

get_app_info

ChatGPT
Get information about the Squatch Connect iOS app itself: where to find it, what device it needs, and how eSIM installation works. Use this when the user asks how to get the app, whether their phone is compatible, or what happens after they pick a plan — not for pricing (use get_plans) or trip recommendations (use recommend_plan). Returns the App Store listing URL (with attribution parameters), the saasquatchlab.com landing page URL, and the device requirement (eSIM-capable, carrier-unlocked iPhone XS/XR or newer, iOS 17 or later). Plans themselves are purchased inside the Squatch Connect iOS app, not here or on any website — this tool only describes that, it doesn't initiate or link to a purchase.

get_plans

ChatGPT
Look up the actual eSIM data plans and prices Squatch Connect sells for one destination. Use this when the user wants to see pricing or options directly, or after list_destinations has confirmed the place. destination is a country or region name or id (e.g. 'France', 'france', 'Japan', 'Europe'); matching is case-insensitive and tolerates minor misspellings. Returns each plan's data allowance (GB), validity (days), USD retail price, tethering/hotspot support, and carrier network — nothing else is known about the plans (no reviews, no coverage maps). If the destination isn't recognized, returns suggested close matches instead of an error.

list_destinations

ChatGPT
Look up which countries and regions Squatch Connect sells travel eSIM data plans for. Use this first when the user names a place and you need to confirm it's covered, or when they ask what's available (e.g. 'what destinations do you have in Asia?'). Takes an optional text query (case-insensitive substring match on the destination name) and an optional kind filter ('country' or 'region', for multi-country bundles like Europe or Asia). Returns only id, name, flag emoji, kind, and popularity — no prices or plan details. Follow up with get_plans for pricing.

recommend_plan

ChatGPT
Recommend the cheapest single Squatch Connect plan that covers a specific trip, given a destination, trip length, and how heavily the user expects to use data. Use this when the user wants a recommendation rather than a raw price list — for a raw list, use get_plans instead. Inputs: destination (name or id), trip_days (length of the trip), and usage — one of 'light' (~0.3GB/day: messaging, email, occasional maps), 'moderate' (~0.8GB/day: maps, social media, photo uploads), or 'heavy' (~2GB/day: video streaming, using the phone as a hotspot). These are rough planning estimates, not a guarantee — actual usage varies a lot by app and video quality. The tool multiplies the per-day rate by trip_days, then picks the lowest-priced plan whose validity covers the whole trip and whose data allowance covers the estimate. If no single plan covers the trip, it says so plainly and suggests either the closest available plan or buying more than one plan to cover the full length of the trip.
