Overview

Ask Claude about any US-listed company and get the numbers the company actually filed, each with the SEC filing it came from. Built for advisers, analysts, fund managers and writers who need to check a figure before it goes into a client note, a model or a published piece. Try asking: • "Pull the last eight quarters of revenue, gross profit and free cash flow for Micron, and cite the filing for each quarter." • "How have Kroger's shares outstanding changed over the last five fiscal years? Link the filing for each year." • "What does NVIDIA's latest 10-K say in Risk Factors about export controls? Quote the filing." Every number carries its fiscal period and the accession number, form and filing date it was read from. A figure a company has not filed comes back as null and is never estimated or annualised — the difference between a data source and a plausible guess. Six read-only tools cover company search, filed figures by fiscal period (revenue, gross profit, operating income, net income, diluted EPS, free cash flow, cash, debt and shares outstanding), the filing timeline (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, 20-F and proxy) with EDGAR links, the text of one filing by section, a filing-grounded written answer, and a connection check. Access: no API key is needed to start. sp_health is free; every other tool, company search included, draws on the allowance. An unconnected caller gets 3 research answers and 25 data lookups per rolling 30 days. Connecting an account raises the allowance. Authentication is OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration; credentials are never asked for or shown. Coverage: US-listed companies that report in USD to the SEC. No international listings, no analyst estimates, no forward data. Fund data (ETF and mutual-fund costs, holdings and allocation) is third-party data and is not part of this server.

Tools

ask_filings

Claude
Ask a question about one US-listed company and get an answer researched from its SEC filings, plus the tools and figures it used. Use this when the question needs reasoning over filing content — what management said about margins, why a segment declined, what the risk factors are — rather than a single reported number, for which get_company_fundamentals is faster and exact. The answer states what it could not source rather than estimating, and the supporting pulls are returned so the figures can be checked. Metered: consumes the account’s allowance. Not investment advice. Without an account this tool allows 3 questions per caller in each rolling 30-day window; a successful answer reports the remaining count.

get_company_fundamentals

Claude
Return one US-listed company’s financial statements by fiscal period: revenue, gross profit, operating income, net income, diluted EPS, free cash flow, cash, debt and shares outstanding. Every figure carries its fiscal period and the SEC filing that reports it (form, filing date, accession number and source URL). Defaults to the five most recent annual periods. A figure the company did not report is null and is never estimated or annualised. Use get_filing or ask_filings when the question is about what a filing says rather than about reported numbers.

get_filing

Claude
Read one SEC filing — its metadata plus short excerpts of its text. Identify it by accession number (preferred, as returned by search_filings), or by ticker with an optional filing type, which defaults to the company’s latest 10-K. Request a named section such as "Risk Factors", "MD&A" or "Legal Proceedings", or search the filing for a term. Returns excerpts with their section and the filing URL, not the whole document. Use get_company_fundamentals for reported numbers.

search_companies

Claude
Resolve a company name or ticker to the US-listed company it refers to, returning ticker, company name and SEC CIK. Use this first when a company is named ambiguously, when only a name is known, or before another tool when the ticker is uncertain. Reads a bundled company catalog and returns no financial data and no filing content. Free: needs no account.

search_filings

Claude
Find SEC filings for one company by filing type and date range. Returns each filing’s form, filing date, fiscal period, accession number, SEC document description and a direct filing URL. Use this to locate a 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, 20-F or proxy, or to answer "when did they last file X". This searches filing metadata, not the text inside filings — use get_filing for the text.

sp_health

Claude
Liveness probe: reports the server version and the number of tools. Safe to call before any other tool and useful for verifying a connection. Free: needs no account and consumes no allowance.
