ask_supersimple
ChatGPTAnswer a natural-language analytics question about the user's Supersimple account. Supersimple is an analyst, not a query language: it resolves field names, metrics, time grains, grouping, sorting and formatting from the account's data model itself. Pass the question the way the user asked it — only rewrite it to be self-contained (resolve follow-up references like a pronoun or a subject carried over from an earlier turn). Don't add column names, SQL-style phrasing, or sort/row/format instructions you are inferring; that narrows or misdirects the answer rather than helping. Returns a written answer and, where applicable, an interactive visualization.
create_agent_skill
ChatGPTCreate an agent skill: reusable instructions the agent loads when a question matches the skill description. Skill names must be unique within the account.
create_answer_guidance
ChatGPTCreate answer guidance using source references returned by list_answer_guidance_sources. Guidance or an exploration containing example blocks is required.
delete_agent_skill
ChatGPTDelete one agent skill from this account.
delete_answer_guidance
ChatGPTDelete one answer guide from this account.
draft_app
ChatGPTSave new source as a draft version of an app without publishing it: nothing changes for anyone using the app. A draft only runs in a block that pins its id — set the block’s appVersionId to the returned id to try the change in one exploration. Read the current source with get_app first and keep the app self-contained in one HTML document. Drafts cannot change the app’s manifest (backends, name). Any member can draft.
execute_query
ChatGPTRun a pipeline and return rows for a rendered chart (internal).
get_ai_instructions
ChatGPTGet the AI instructions configured for this account: the general instructions that apply to every question, and the per-source instructions tied to a database connection or integration.
get_app
ChatGPTRead one custom app: its manifest (name, title, description, entry, tags, backends) and the full source of its current version — a single self-contained HTML document that talks to Supersimple through the sup SDK. Use this to understand what an app does or before changing it with update_app. Address it by name (team library or your own apps) or by the appId of an exploration block that mounts it.
get_conversation
ChatGPTFetch a full persisted Supersimple conversation, including assistant exploration messages and their cells. Use a conversationId from list_inbox_items to understand the analysis that surfaced an Inbox item before resolving it.
get_exploration
ChatGPTRead an exploration the user has in Supersimple: its name, its tabs, and the list of blocks it contains with a short summary of each. Use this first when the user points at an exploration or shares a link to one, then call get_exploration_block for a block’s full definition or get_exploration_block_data for its rows.
get_exploration_block
ChatGPTRead the full definition of one block of an exploration: its kind, title, view options, visualisations, sort and the pipeline steps that produce its data. Use get_exploration_block_data to see the rows the block actually shows.
get_exploration_block_data
ChatGPTRun one block of an exploration and return its rows as a markdown table — the data the block shows in Supersimple. Only blocks that query data (records, SQL, funnel, cohort) can be run.
get_exploration_history
ChatGPTList the saved versions of an exploration, newest first. Call get_exploration_version with an explorationVersionId for the list of changes a single version made.
get_exploration_version
ChatGPTRead one saved version of an exploration: the list of changes it made relative to the version saved before it, and the tabs and blocks the exploration had at that point. Use it to see how an exploration evolved; the change list is empty for the exploration’s first version.
list_agent_skills
ChatGPTList the agent skills configured for this account. Managers see every skill including disabled ones; other users see only the enabled skills that apply to them.
list_answer_guidance
ChatGPTList the human-managed answer guidance configured for this account.
list_answer_guidance_sources
ChatGPTList the database connections and integrations that can be required by answer guidance. Use the returned type and id together in requiredSources.
list_apps
ChatGPTCustom apps are small published web apps that render inside explorations as blocks, with live, governed data access. Lists the team library plus the user’s own apps: name, title, description, current version, tags and declared backends. Use get_app to read one.
list_inbox_items
ChatGPTList the items in the user's Supersimple Inbox, including open and closed findings. Returns each item with its lifecycle status, dismissal feedback, details, and the users, questions and conversations that surfaced it. Before resolving an item, call get_conversation with its conversationId to inspect the full context.
resolve_inbox_item
ChatGPTMark an open Supersimple Inbox item as resolved. Only do this after the underlying question or ambiguity has been addressed.
update_agent_skill
ChatGPTReplace an existing agent skill. Call list_agent_skills first and provide every field: the skill is replaced as a whole, not patched.
update_answer_guidance
ChatGPTReplace an existing answer guide. Call list_answer_guidance first and provide every field that should remain. Use source references returned by list_answer_guidance_sources.
update_app
ChatGPTPublish new source (and optionally a new title, description, tags or backends) for an existing custom app. Every publish appends a version; the app updates everywhere it is mounted the next time an exploration loads. Read the current source with get_app first and keep the app self-contained in one HTML document. Requires the MANAGE_APPS permission. To try a change without publishing, use draft_app.
update_general_ai_instructions
ChatGPTReplace the general AI instructions for this account. Call get_ai_instructions first and provide the full text that should remain; pass an empty string to clear them.
update_inbox_item_status
ChatGPTChange the human-review status of an Inbox item. CONFIRMED means the finding is valid and has been reviewed, but it remains open until the underlying issue is resolved. DISMISSED removes it from the active queue; include an optional reason so future suggestions can use that feedback. NEW reopens a confirmed, dismissed, or resolved item.
update_source_ai_instructions
ChatGPTReplace the AI instructions for one database connection or integration. Provide exactly one of connectionId or integrationId — use ids returned by list_answer_guidance_sources or get_ai_instructions. Pass instructions as null to delete.
