check_study_progress
ChatGPTUse this only when the student explicitly asks whether their Anki deck, practice exam or study story is ready. The progress panel from create_study_materials refreshes itself, so never call this to poll or wait; call it at most once per student question.
combine_anki_decks
ChatGPTMerges finished Anki decks from the library into one new .apkg deck. Uses no credits.
combine_exams
ChatGPTUse this when the student wants one mixed exam from several of their lectures, such as a block or final review. Merges the chosen practice exams into a shuffled combined exam. Uses no credits.
combine_saved_content
ChatGPTCombines library practice exams into one exam, or stories into one story volume. Uses no credits.
create_exam_folder
ChatGPTCreates a folder for organizing practice exams in the library.
create_study_materials
ChatGPTUse this when the student attaches lecture slides, a lecture PDF, a PowerPoint or class notes and wants to understand the lecture, make Anki flashcards from it, get practice questions or a practice exam, or study for an exam on that material. Builds up to three outputs from the same lecture: a Story to understand it, an Anki deck to memorize it with active recall, and a Practice exam to apply it with practice questions written to match what the student will see on their professor's exams, each with an explanation and its source slide. Each output uses one credit. Pass in outputs only what the student explicitly asked for. If they haven't said which ones, call with outputs empty: it spends nothing and opens the Synaptic Recall upload page with the lecture attached, where the student picks Story, Anki or Exam and presses Generate. Never pick outputs for the student. Do not use for general questions that aren't about the student's own lecture file.

get_deck_download_url

open_combined_quiz
ChatGPTUse this when the student wants to take or resume one of their combined (multi-lecture) exams.
open_practice_exam
ChatGPTUse this when the student wants to take, resume or review a practice exam or quiz from one of their lectures. Opens the interactive exam in Practice mode (explanation after each question) or Exam mode (score at the end), with Dr. Synapse explanations and the source slide for every question. Do not reveal or guess answers in chat; the student answers in the exam view.
open_story
ChatGPTUse this when the student wants to read one of their Synaptic Recall Stories (or a combined story volume): the lecture explained from the basics beside their own slides, with every key term's meaning and origin, sticky notes, highlights, read-aloud and Dr. Synapse to ask about the story.
open_study_library
ChatGPTUse this when the student wants to see their Synaptic Recall lectures, Anki decks, practice exams or remaining credits, or to pick a study set to open.
