Overview

Tarotap lets you draw real tarot cards without leaving Claude. Ask for a reading and Tarotap shuffles a full 78-card Rider-Waite-Smith deck and fans it out face down in an interactive card table. You pick your own cards by hand, each one flips face up as it lands, and when the last card is revealed you send the cards to Claude, which interprets the reading in the context of your question. Nothing is decided in advance: cards can land upright or reversed, and they stay hidden from everyone, Claude included, until you turn them over. Choose from 14 classic spreads such as Time Flow (past, present, future) and the Celtic Cross, or ask for a free-form draw of one to ten cards, including a quick card of the day. Write to Claude in your own language and the spread names, card names and card table follow. No account or sign-in is needed. Tarotap receives only the spread, the number of cards and the language, never your question or your conversation, and it stores nothing about your reading.

Tools

draw_cards

ChatGPT
Shuffle a full 78-card Rider-Waite-Smith deck (server-side true randomness) and fan it out face-down for the user to draw cards by hand — the card the user picks is the card they get. You do not see the drawn cards until the user finishes: when the last card is revealed the conversation continues automatically with the revealed cards in the widget state, and you interpret them yourself then. Call at most once per reading. Pass a spread_id from list_spreads to draw into that spread's positions, or card_count (1-10) for a free-form draw — including a daily card, card of the day, or a quick one-card insight (card_count: 1). Card names, position names and the widget text follow locale.

list_spreads

ChatGPT
List the tarot spreads available for a reading, with each spread's id, name, tagline, number of cards and position names, in the requested language. Use when the user wants to pick a spread or you need a spread id for draw_cards. The ids are the same in every language.

Shuffle a full 78-card Rider-Waite-Smith deck with server-side randomness and show it face-down in an interactive widget, where the user picks their cards by hand. The tool result does not contain the drawn cards: the widget sends the cards the user picked to the conversation once the last one is revealed. Takes a spread_id from list_spreads to draw into that spread's positions, or a card_count (1-10) for a free-form draw such as a single card of the day. Card names, position names and the widget text follow locale.
