Taste Engine
By Taste Labs
Overview
Every creative project starts somewhere: an idea to explore or a brand to build on. Taste Engine brings both into your workflow with Claude through MCP. If you’re starting without a brand, describe a style, mood, or visual direction: “Find brands with a warm, editorial feel and earthy colors,” or “Find brands that look like tastelabs.com.” Discover references, choose a direction, and extract the design context you need. If you already have a brand website or PDF brand guidelines, start directly from them. Turn those sources into structured brand context: colors, typography, layouts, components, and visual assets. Understand the photography, illustrations, logos, and campaign imagery that give the brand its identity. Use that understanding to give your AI clear art direction and guide the creation of new work—from photography briefs and social media posts to ads, posters, billboards, websites, and presentations. As your work takes shape, evaluate and refine it. For websites, compare a page against a reference brand to identify inconsistencies and get specific recommendations and fixes. Consult design guidance to recognize generic patterns and make more deliberate choices. Revisit saved searches, extractions, and assessments as your creative direction evolves. A Taste Engine account is required. Searches, extractions, and brand consistency checks use credits. Reading saved results and consulting design guidance are free.
