ChatGPTRetrieve exact text by returned passage_id or supported reference (supply exactly one). Examples: Meditations 4.3, Enchiridion 20, Seneca Letter 1 (whole letter), Discourses 1.18 (whole chapter), letters 1/2, discourses 1/18/1 (book/chapter/section). Pass the returned edition_id as translation to preserve wording. Text is paginated at 6000 characters; follow next_offset with the same returned ID and edition until null. Whole units include section boundaries; context applies only to individual sections. Context gives up to two adjacent sections each side, bounded to 1500 characters each; retrieve their IDs for full text. Reading URLs select the returned edition. Returns available notes and source metadata, never invented references.
