Overview

thott.bot makes ChatGPT an expert on World of Warcraft: Forever. Ask about anything you'd normally look up, in your own words: a talent, an item, a quest, a build, what the latest patch changed. The answer comes from Blizzard's own game files for the build you're playing. - From the source. Game facts come from the current Forever game files, and news and developer statements come straight from Blizzard. When they don't cover something, thott.bot says so instead of guessing. - Kept current. New builds and hotfixes are added automatically, usually within minutes of Blizzard shipping them. - It knows what changed: between any two builds or hotfixes, and everything Forever changed from Classic. - It has the rest of what you look up: Blizzard's posts, news and dev notes, plus community data such as popular talent builds from Talents Forever, credited and linked. - It draws the answer: talent trees you can click, the game's own tooltips and what changed, right in the chat. - For addon developers: the Forever client's addon API, its combat restrictions and code examples. For anyone playing WoW Forever, from first-time players to theorycrafters and addon developers. Limitations: thott.bot covers World of Warcraft: Forever only, not retail WoW or other Classic versions. It doesn't yet hold boss strategy, class guides, stat priorities, auction house prices or complete loot tables, and we're adding more all the time. Connecting needs a thott.bot account (sign in with Discord, Google or email). thott.bot is not affiliated with or endorsed by Blizzard Entertainment, Wowhead, ZAM or the original Thottbot.

changes

ChatGPT
Recorded WoW Forever game-file changes: every client update since 16 September 2026 and hotfix capture since 24 September. Use for what changed today, this week, in a patch, between builds, or on one thing, including Blizzard's addon code. Search gives current facts. The player's words as arguments: "the latest patch": no arguments (the latest update and its hotfixes), or update "latest" for the update alone. "Today", "this week", "since Tuesday": since that date (UTC). "Since Classic": since "classic" with name or class. Two builds the player named: since and until. Players don't know build numbers; pass one only if the player named it. Give every narrowing the question has in one call: all arguments apply together (a list matches any of its values); none is dropped. "My warrior, with gear": class. "Arms talents": class, spec, kind. "One-handed weapons", "cloth chest", "shields": slot, type. "Alchemy recipes", "tailoring bags": profession, slot. A result states the observed UTC span, totals and breakdowns, then every changed entry and line: [old → new], [+added] and [-removed]. Gear the files don't sort by class is labeled apart; a changed talent carries its current Talents Forever pick rate, labeled community data. It ends "Complete" or "Not complete: continue with page": repeat that page and the same arguments before treating the list as complete. A game update compares the new game client with the prior observed game; a hotfix compares server-data captures. Times are first observations or captures, not exact release times. Do not identify a player's download from its date alone: establish their build or keep the identification qualified. "Gone from the game files" means removed, or hidden until a later release; the files don't say which, so say that. Changes Blizzard makes only on its servers (loot, spawns, scripts) never reach the files: search news for those.

fetch

ChatGPT
Full details for up to 5 ids from search or fetch at once: ranks, requirements, effects, conditions and sources. Fetch whenever a preview does not fully answer. News lists its sections; addon APIs link their complete code examples and flag catalogs. Follow those ids for the evidence. Community data and news arrive labeled: credit each source, give news its date and link, and keep any Classic label. A long result ends "Not complete": continue with its page and the same ids before calling a list complete. Preserve qualifications; documented availability alone does not prove runtime behavior.

show

ChatGPT
Display what you found inside the chat as interactive game interface: an empty talent tree to fill in, a talent's tooltip, the most popular builds, one of them adapted for the player, or talent pick rates (Talents Forever's daily tally), what Forever changed for a class or in its talent trees in an update, or an item, item set, ability or recipe from search as its in-game tooltip. Use it when seeing beats reading: builds, talent trees, comparing items, a piece of gear the player is deciding on. Skip it when a sentence answers the question. Send up to 10 blocks in one call, in the order the player should see them. Several builds of one class share one card under tabs, which is how to compare them; several search results in a row become one loot-window list. Name talents exactly as the game spells them. Builds are checked against the game's talent rules. A block that can't be drawn (a build that breaks a rule, an unknown id) is left out and the rest are drawn; the result names each block left out and why. The same facts come back to you as text.
