Overview

Trovr finds live music across New York and lets you hear every artist before you go. Ask Claude what to see ("jazz in Manhattan this weekend", "something to dance to in Brooklyn on Saturday", "is Robert Glasper playing soon?") and Trovr searches upcoming concerts, jazz sets and DJ nights across the New York area. Claude picks the best matches and shows them as cards right in the chat: the image, venue, date and price, a line on why each show fits, and a preview of the artist you can play with one tap. Scroll the row and the next artist plays. What you can ask for: - Dates: tonight, this weekend, a specific day, the next few weeks - Places: a neighbourhood, borough or town, e.g. Williamsburg, Harlem or Hoboken - Genres and moods: jazz, hip hop, electronic, Latin and more, or just "mellow", "loud" or "danceable" - Budget: shows under a price you name - A specific artist, event or venue: see when they're playing next Thumbs up or down on a card tells Claude what to show you next. Tickets opens the seller's page, and the title opens the show on trovr.ai. No account is needed. Trovr only reads its own public listings: nothing is booked, bought or changed, and nothing that identifies you is stored.

Tools

get_artist

Claude
Returns one artist in depth: genre, fan count, the sound of their music as heard in their previews (energy, danceability, tempo, vocals, moods, styles, instruments, a 'sounds like' line; approximate), up to 8 tracks with 30-second preview URLs, and their upcoming shows in the New York area. Takes an artist ID from search results, or an artist name.

get_cards

Claude
Returns the card data (images, preview clips, ticket links) for shows already displayed as cards. Used by the cards display.

search_events

Claude
Searches upcoming live-music shows in the New York metro area (Trovr covers only live music, only there), each with a music preview of the artist, by dates, genres, venue types, place, price, mood, the kind of place, or a named artist, event or venue. Returns up to 16 shows ranked by fit, with the reasons each fits, and today's date in New York. Each show carries its lineup (with artist IDs), the headliner's best-known tracks, the venue's type and capacity, what the venue is like when known (vibe tags such as Wine bar, Rooftop, Seated, Big hall, and one line), a one-line summary, and, when available, how the headliner's music sounds (energy and danceability 1-5, tempo, moods, styles, a 'sounds like' line). Dates are ISO strings in New York time; without dates the search covers the next 14 days. A place outside the New York area, or an ask for events that aren't music, returns an outOfScope message and no shows.

show_events

Claude
Displays 1 to 10 shows as playable cards: image, venue, date, a preview of the artist and a ticket link. Takes event IDs from search results, each with a one-line reason for the pick.
