TrulyAir

Overview
TrulyAir computes the US EPA Air Quality Index (AQI) the way the EPA specifies: the 2024 breakpoints, NowCast averaging for current values, and the EPA's truncation and rounding rules. Where an official U.S. EPA AirNow monitor is close to the place you ask about, it uses the NowCast AQI that AirNow publishes, unchanged; elsewhere it computes the AQI from the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) model. Every value is labeled as measured or as a model estimate. Ask about current conditions for any place you name, or for your approximate area, and TrulyAir gives the AQI with its category, the main pollutant, the value for each pollutant, EPA health guidance, and the sensitive groups when the AQI is above 100. In ChatGPT it also shows them on a card in the EPA color for the AQI. Ask about the coming days and it gives a daily AQI forecast for up to 4 days. Every answer says where its numbers come from. Measured values come from the nearest official monitors reported by U.S. EPA AirNow (United States, Canada, Mexico and U.S. embassies). Model values are never presented as measurements, and forecasts are model estimates. Current readings include the observation time, and every answer includes the attribution each data source requires. It is for anyone planning time outdoors, including people in sensitive groups, during wildfire smoke, or when traveling. Place names in other languages are understood when your assistant shares your language. Limitations: outdoor air only. TrulyAir does not cover indoor air, pollen, historical data, or weather such as temperature, rain or wind. Model estimates describe an area of roughly 10 to 45 km and can differ from local conditions. Monitor data is preliminary. Only the US EPA scale is reported. Health guidance is general EPA public information, not medical advice. No account or sign-in is needed. TrulyAir is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI, the U.S. EPA or AirNow.
