Overview

TrustAI is a neutral referee for legal text written by any AI tool. Paste a brief, a memo or a chatbot answer, and the review_legal_text tool flags two warning signs of made-up law: quotations that sit in a sentence with no citation, and legal propositions stated as settled with no citation. Each flag comes back with the exact passage and a short note on what is missing, for a person to check. It never says an answer is right or wrong and never gives legal advice. If anything goes wrong it returns no flags rather than inventing one. The review runs on the server itself, with no outside lookup, and nothing you paste is stored. Three more tools describe the server: list_checks says what it checks and, just as plainly, what it never claims; get_descriptor returns who runs it and where the public pages are; get_health reports uptime and runs the checks on a fixed sample. All four tools only read. No account or key is needed. Checking that each cited case exists runs on the website at trustailaw.com/check-citations, against CourtListener's public library of court opinions.

Tools

get_descriptor

Claude
Return the TrustAI Verification MCP self-description: operator, what the server verifies, the public tools, the boundary it never crosses (it never adjudicates), and links to the public surfaces.

get_health

Claude
Return server health: process uptime and a deterministic engine self-check (the structural detectors run on a fixed sample and return the expected flag counts). Local-only; no database on the path.

list_checks

Claude
Return the structural checks this server performs on legal-AI output, and — explicitly — what it never claims. Information, not legal advice.
