compare_supplier_offer_history
ChatGPTCompare a supplier's latest two saved offer files: restocks, depletions, cost, availability, ETA and terms changes, new and missing lines. Use it for what-changed questions about a supplier's offers. It never proves a discontinuation from sparse snapshots; for past buying decisions use recall_decisions.
find_similar_products
ChatGPTFind other lines in the open work unit in the same category as a named product. Use it for substitutes and alternatives among the lines in front of the buyer; to search the whole catalogue use search_catalogue with the category.
find_supplier
ChatGPTResolve a supplier name, fragment or acronym to the workspace's suppliers, with catalogue-product and open-recommendation counts. Use it before filtering by supplier, or with no query and order_by open_recommendations to rank suppliers by what awaits action. For a supplier's products use search_catalogue.
get_competitor_matched_lines
ChatGPTRead competitor-match fields carried on the open work unit's lines. Use it only for a competitor question about those lines; for tracked competitor prices across the range use price_intel_lookup or twelfth_compare_pricing_skus.
get_entity_context
ChatGPTRead why Twelfth currently recommends what it does for a named product or supplier: the rationale, supporting facts, rule meaning and provenance. Use it for why-this-quantity or why-this-price questions. It reads current recommendations only and returns no raw measures: for those use get_entity_profile, and for past decisions use recall_decisions.
get_entity_profile
ChatGPTRead every measure the open work unit holds for one named product, brand, supplier or category (product rows, commercial measures and evidence) in one call. Use it first when a question names something. For one measure across all the open lines use get_sales_metrics (sales), get_inventory_position (stock) or get_product_master (price, cost, lifecycle); for why Twelfth recommends what it does use get_entity_context; for anything outside the open work unit use search_catalogue.
get_inventory_position
ChatGPTRead stock on hand and cover per product across the lines in the open work unit. No outlet split and no aggregation. Use it for stock and replenishment across those lines; for one named product use get_entity_profile, and for stock across the whole range use twelfth_list_products, sorted by stock or cover.
get_methodology
ChatGPTRetrieve category-management playbook principles for a situation such as supply disruption, slow sales, stock pressure, competitor moves, ranging or pricing. Use it to ground advice in the methodology after reading the data. It returns principles, not workspace figures; for those use get_entity_profile or twelfth_list_products.
get_planning_calendar
ChatGPTRead trading, promotion or custom calendar entries for one remit in a date window, with each calendar's id, source and revision. Use it for key dates, promotions, holidays and trading periods, and to turn a named season into dates before calling recall_decisions.
get_product_master
ChatGPTRead price, cost, margin and lifecycle fields for the lines in the open work unit, filtered by name, category or supplier (filters combine with AND). Use it for product details on those lines; for sales use get_sales_metrics, for stock get_inventory_position, and for every measure on one named product get_entity_profile. A product not found here may still be stocked, so check search_catalogue before saying it is not.
get_product_ranking
ChatGPTRank the open work unit's lines in one named category or supplier by revenue or units, highest first. Use it to compare rate of sale within that group. It refuses an unfiltered ranking, because the top of the open lines is not the top of the business; use twelfth_list_products sorted by units_l4w for that.
get_project
ChatGPTRead one project as it stands: workflow stage, scope, owner, open tasks, documents, artefacts and recent activity. Use it for where a piece of work is up to and who holds it; to find the project's id use twelfth_list_projects.
get_sales_metrics
ChatGPTRead revenue, units and margin per product across the lines in the open work unit. One precomputed figure per product: no date series, period comparison or whole-business total. Use it to compare sales across those lines; for every measure on one named product, brand or supplier use get_entity_profile, and for products outside the open lines use twelfth_list_products.
get_supplier_constraints
ChatGPTRead a named supplier's lines in the open work unit (or every line) with the supply constraints and stock each carries: lead time, carton quantity, on order and stock on hand where the work unit holds them, plus cost and margin. A missing field means the work unit does not carry it, not that the supplier has none. Use it for lead-time, pack-size and inventory-capital questions about those lines. To resolve a supplier name use find_supplier; for changes in their offers use compare_supplier_offer_history.
read_document
ChatGPTRead one page (up to 24,000 characters) of a document shared with the workspace, with its page count. Use it when the answer is in a shared sheet or doc; get the document's id from list_documents (or a project's documents in get_project). To find how Twelfth itself works use search_docs instead.
search_catalogue
ChatGPTSearch every product in the workspace's readable catalogue by text, supplier or category, optionally only those with an open recommendation. Use it whenever a product, brand, barcode or supplier is named and you need to know whether and where it is stocked. Pass up to 100 exact identifiers in ids (SKU, PLU, supplier or manufacturer SKU) to resolve a list in one call; each comes back matched or in not_found. Overly broad identifier results fail explicitly; use fewer or more specific ids. For figures on the results use twelfth_list_products; to resolve a supplier's exact name first use find_supplier.
search_docs
ChatGPTSearch Twelfth's product documentation for how a page, control or setting works, returning matching sections with links. Use it before saying Twelfth cannot do something. An empty result means the docs do not describe it, not that the product lacks it. For documents the workspace shared use read_document.
twelfth_get_preferences
ChatGPTRead stored preference values and the keys this connection may read at user, organization or membership scope. Use it for defaults such as cover targets and display choices. For Twelfth staff with workspace owner/admin access, organization scope also returns the managed chat runtime policy and available models. Those staff with Allow changes can use twelfth_update_agent_policy for runtime settings. Integrations and category remits have their own tools (twelfth_list_integration_guides, twelfth_list_category_settings); personal and membership scopes need a person's OAuth connection.
twelfth_get_workspace
ChatGPTGet the connected workspace's name, slug, timezone, currency and country. Call it first so dates and money are read in the workspace's own terms; for people use twelfth_list_workspace_members.
twelfth_list_category_settings
ChatGPTRead managed categories, their aliases and which remit owns each, narrowed to this connection's readable remits, 50 per page with total and hasMore. Use it to map category names and find category IDs for twelfth_list_products filters; pass query to find one category by name or alias. Changing categories is owner/admin-only in the app.
twelfth_list_integration_guides
ChatGPTSee which data and chat integrations this workspace has connected, what each provides, and the Twelfth page where a person can connect or configure it. Use it to answer what is connected or how to connect something. It never starts OAuth or changes a connection; for stored workspace defaults use twelfth_get_preferences.
twelfth_list_open_actions
ChatGPTList up to 100 open actions visible to this connection, soonest due first, with assignee, remit and the work unit each came from. Use it for what is due or overdue; for project-level progress use twelfth_list_projects.
twelfth_list_products
ChatGPTPage through every product in this connection's readable remits with current stock, velocity, cover, sales, GP%, price, supplier, category and open finding count; an unmeasured figure is null. Use it for figures across the whole range, sorted or filtered. To find a product by name first, search_catalogue is lighter.
twelfth_list_project_workflows
ChatGPTList the project workflows this workspace offers, with their stages, availability and how many projects run on each. Use it to explain what kinds of project exist; for actual projects use twelfth_list_projects.
twelfth_list_projects
ChatGPTList the workspace's projects visible to this connection, with workflow, stage, owner, open and overdue task counts. Use it to find a project or see what is in flight; for one project's tasks, documents and activity use get_project with its id.
twelfth_list_workspace_members
ChatGPTList up to 100 people in the connected workspace with their email and role. Use it to resolve an owner or assignee by name; for what each person has open use twelfth_list_open_actions.
