MCP App Store

Overview

Vibecode turns a conversation into a real, native iPhone app. Describe what you want to make, like a calorie tracker, a habit app or a simple game, and ChatGPT turns it into a build brief for Vibecode. You can follow the build right in the chat, including Vibecode's agent testing the app on an iPhone simulator. When it's done, the finished app runs on a live simulator inside ChatGPT, so you can tap through it before you go anywhere else. When you're ready to keep going, open the project in Vibecode on the web, scan a QR code to open it in the Vibecode iPhone app, or start publishing it to the App Store from Vibecode. Ask for changes to an app you've built, like a new screen, a different color or a fix, and Vibecode's agent makes them and tests them, right in the chat. Ask to see your Vibecode apps at any time to pick up an app you've already built. Connect your Vibecode account when ChatGPT asks; every app you build lives in that account.

Tools

create_app

ChatGPT
Use this when the user wants Vibecode to build an app: a native iPhone app (platform ios) or a web app that runs in the browser, such as a tool, dashboard, game or site (platform web). First turn the conversation into a brief: what the app does, its 3-5 main screens or pages, the data it keeps, and the look and feel. If it is unclear whether they want an iPhone app or a web app, ask. The build takes several minutes; follow it with get_build_status. Do not use for Android-only apps.

edit_app

ChatGPT
Use this when the user wants to change an app Vibecode already built: new features, design changes or fixes. Use it instead of create_app for an existing app; find the app with list_projects if needed. Write the change as a clear request with the details from the conversation.

get_build_status

ChatGPT
Use this to follow a Vibecode build started with create_app, or to check a project's state. While the phase is building, wait about 20 seconds between checks and tell the user what the agent is doing in plain words.

get_profile

ChatGPT
Return the Vibecode account connected to this chat. The id is opaque and stays the same across token refresh, reconnection and profile edits.

list_projects

ChatGPT
Use this when the user asks about their existing Vibecode apps. Returns the account's most recently updated projects.

preview_heartbeat

ChatGPT
Called by the Vibecode app card while its simulator is on screen.

show_app

ChatGPT
Use this right after create_app or edit_app, or when the user wants to see a Vibecode app. Shows a card with live build progress, then the app running live: an iPhone app on an iPhone simulator, a web app in a browser view. It has links to open the app in Vibecode or on their phone.

start_preview

ChatGPT
Called by the Vibecode app card to start its live simulator.
