Overview

Weave Fabric is a personal memory layer for AI. Connect it to ChatGPT and your assistant finally knows the specifics of your life: your people, preferences, routines, purchases, calendar, and history. You build your memory in the Fabric iOS app. Capture quick notes, fill out short questionnaires about parts of your life (food, work, health, travel, and more), or connect accounts like Gmail, Google Calendar, Apple Health, YouTube, Eventbrite, Receipts, Instagram, LinkedIn, Slack, Discord, and HubSpot to generate memories automatically from data you already have. Once connected, ChatGPT can read, create, and update memories on your behalf.

Tools

weave_check_connection

ChatGPT
Use this when the user asks whether Weave is connected or which Weave account this is. Returns the signed-in account, how many memories it holds, and whether a phone is linked for texts. Not for questions about the user's life; use Search Memories for those.

weave_create_memory

ChatGPT
Use this when the user asks you to remember something, or agrees when you offer to save it. Save one lasting fact per memory, worded so it names who it is about: the user's own facts in their voice ("I prefer aisle seats"), other people by name and relationship ("My sister Ana works at OpenAI"). When something changes over time, such as a move or a new job, save the new fact; Weave keeps the history. If the user asks you to update or change an existing memory, or says one is wrong, use Edit a Memory instead. Never save passwords, card or account numbers, government IDs, or whole conversations. A new memory can take a few minutes to show up in search; don't save it twice.

weave_edit_memory

ChatGPT
Use this when a saved memory is wrong, or when the user asks you to update or change a specific memory. Find the memory with Search Memories first, then pass its id and the full new text. When something has simply changed over time and the user didn't ask to update a memory, save a new memory instead so the history is kept.

weave_forget_memory

ChatGPT
Use this when the user asks Weave to forget a memory. Find it with Search Memories first and pass its id. Facts that other memories also support stay. This cannot be undone from here; the user can restore a forgotten memory only in the Weave app.

weave_search_memories

ChatGPT
Use this when the user's request depends on who they are or what they've told Weave before: their preferences, the people in their life, their work, plans and past decisions, or anything they saved. Also use it to find a memory's id before editing or forgetting it. Returns facts from the user's memory, each labelled as about the user or about someone else, and the saved memories that match, each with its id, date and source. Without q, lists the most recent memories (page with cursor). Results are the best matches, not a complete list. Saved memories include things Weave captured from the user's connected apps, such as emails, calendar events and to-dos. Not for general knowledge.

weave_send_message

ChatGPT
Use this when the user asks to have something texted to their own phone, such as a summary or a reminder. Sends one plain-text SMS to the phone linked to their Weave account; it cannot text anyone else. Up to 10 texts an hour. If no phone is linked, pass on the linking steps it returns.
